Unfortunately very bad experience for us. Restaurant open at 12 pm, we arrived just after 12 hoping to get a nice meal unfortunately we have been waiting for the first meal to arrive for over an hour. Chicken soup was nice but we found a bit of plastic in it, didn't complain at the time as didn't want to make a scene. Everything else ( teriyaki chicken wings, pasta, salad with chicken, feijoada) was very average. The atmosphere wasn't pleasant. It was very cold in the restaurant and no hot drinks available. We were seated by the kitchen service window and right in front of a microwave which has been used non stop for all time we spent in the restaurant. Service was nice and the guys did really try their best. They were very welcoming. Came here only because of good reviews but unfortunately would not recommend. Also too expensive for the quality....
Read moreA small but cozy place with fabulous food and lovely owners. I've eaten here twice in less than a week, just because it is SO worth it. They serve amazing feijoada that has chorizo, morcilla(blood sausage), pork feet and smoked pork rib; I've also tried their chiken wings. Everything is perfectly seasoned, and the only issue is - you want to keep eating even when you're full. The food is super homy, the portions are very reasonable - as in with a set for 1 person you will most definitely be full and happy, if you dare to order more than that, you will most likely take something with you. Also, they have some home-made marinated peppers - I assume they're piri-piri - great stuff. Amazing value for money, which is hard to get in Porto these days, I feel. Thanks a lot, most definitely...
Read moreWe have eaten Brazilian food all over the world--including Brazil--and this is among the best we have ever had! The ingredients are so fresh. If you are vegetarian (as I am), there is plenty to enjoy here. The food is exceptionally flavorful, and artfully presented. The staff are pleasant and eager for you to have an outstanding experience. The chef, Danilo, is Brazilian and was mentored by none other than Nick Peters Bond of the TV show Hell's Kitchen. The atmosphere is elegant and refined, without being stuffy or stand-offish. We wish we could give 10 stars! If you are a lover of Brazilian cuisine, or are trying it for the first time, don't miss The House of...
