Kulinarium — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

Overall it's between 3.5 and 4 star for me. Food was nice - good tuna, good warm seafood salad. Of course, you cannot compare it to real gourmet restaurants in Funchal, like Kampo by Julio Pereira, but still it was a nice dinner.

The only thing I didn't like was a harsh comment on my outfit by the waiter. Basically you can make any comment you like if you do it politely, but it didn't feel this way. I didn't get any instructions for the dress code at the reservation, so I put long sleeve white shirt and smart shorts ... but shorts are not welcomed. Recommendation to hotel: either ask nicely for guest to change the outfit or don't make a fuss about it. At the end of the day it's a hotel restaurants and there where sitting guys around in long cargo pants and tshirts, so I have no clue how it is more elegant than white long shirt and...

My family has vomited all through the night and had diarrhea because of this place. We were excited about doing a fancy dinner but everything came out tasting so bad that we didn’t even try to finish each meal. As soon as we came back to the bedroom my son threw up. And now it’s morning and we’re all in bed with stomach flu and achy body. Do not ruin your vacation because of this...

Nous avons partagé un moment en amoureux dans ce restaurant attenant à l’hôtel RIU, agréablement surpris par ce service inclus dans l’hôtel c’est rare. Service excellent, personnels très agréable. Rien à dire sur l’accueil. Boissons ok 👌🏼 Petit appétit de bienvenue ok 👌🏼 Entrée choisie salade/fromage de chèvre, bien présentée, rien à dire. Plat choisi brochette bœuf et purée de patates douces, bien présenté également, quantité ok, cuisson bien, la viande avait bon goût de cuisson. Dessert choisi : brownie, trop sucré à notre goût, ressemblant plutôt à un gâteau au chocolat avec ganache. N’oublions pas qu’on reste dans un hôtel proposant ce service gratuitement :) Nous avons été très agréablement surpris et nous sommes contents d’avoir passé une petite soirée qui change du restaurant à volonté de l’hôtel.
