Some of the best fried cuttlefish I've had in Setúbal in a long time, and the grilled fish was excellent. Beautifully crisp and light batter, while the inside was tender and succulent, never chewy. The focus is, rightly, on the quality of the extremely fresh seafood, but the traditional sides of boiled potatoes and salad were capable accompaniments. Only quibbles would be that we weren't given a side of fries with our fried cuttlefish (though I'm sure they'd have brought them over if we had asked, we didn't because there was too much food already), and that there is still no tradition of serving it with a nice aioli or similar sauce. The lemon and black pepper work fine, but they don't elevate the dish in...

As always, this place does not disappoint. The clams 'à Bulhão Pato' were awesome as always, especially with the bread dipped in the sauce. After that the house speciality, the 'choco frito'. Just squeeze all the lemon on top and enjoy it. Add some bean rice to that and you have one of the most simple yet amazing combinations in Portuguese cousine. To help all of this just ask for some cool white wine. If you still can, ask for any dessert, you can't go...

An amazing place to eat, that's for sure. It is always crowded and with a line outside. Yet it is worth it to wait. The restaurant is usually so full that the staff are all over the place being difficult to answer to the client needs. Beside that the staff is nice and warm. The food is good but nothing from beyond, the speciality (the fried cuttlefish) is amazing for it lovers. The restaurant atmosfeer and deco is typical...

Traditional Setubal dishes restaurant, focused on fish and grilled meat. The most famous ingredient is the cuttlefish, which is highly recommended here. The place is simply decorated, in a typical, unfancy way (also, with no consideration to sound absorption). It does get crowded (and noisy), and either super early dinner, or booking is advised. Service is friendly and quick.
