Adega do Zé — Restaurant in Setúbal

Some of the best fried cuttlefish I've had in Setúbal in a long time, and the grilled fish was excellent. Beautifully crisp and light batter, while the inside was tender and succulent, never chewy. The focus is, rightly, on the quality of the extremely fresh seafood, but the traditional sides of boiled potatoes and salad were capable accompaniments. Only quibbles would be that we weren't given a side of fries with our fried cuttlefish (though I'm sure they'd have brought them over if we had asked, we didn't because there was too much food already), and that there is still no tradition of serving it with a nice aioli or similar sauce. As always, this place does not disappoint. The clams 'à Bulhão Pato' were awesome as always, especially with the bread dipped in the sauce. After that the house speciality, the 'choco frito'. Just squeeze all the lemon on top and enjoy it. Add some bean rice to that and you have one of the most simple yet amazing combinations in Portuguese cousine. An amazing place to eat, that's for sure. It is always crowded and with a line outside. Yet it is worth it to wait. The restaurant is usually so full that the staff are all over the place being difficult to answer to the client needs. Beside that the staff is nice and warm.
