Went on a Sunday in December for a family member's birthday lunch (we were 5). Due to the short notice of our decision we didn't have time to phone in and make a reservation, but perhaps we should've because the place was packing until 3pm 😐 ! We were put in a waiting list and I believe we waited for longer than a hour. Unfortunate.

Alas, the serving portions were generous. Individual servings for "choco frito" (Setúbal's delicacy, try it!! 😋) were 14€ and two-servings were 22€, salads are charged extra, but not fries which, honestly, despite what the pictures may translate to, weren't crispy and fried as I would've liked.

Instead the fries were this weird unfrozen-boiled-maybe-microwaved kind of thing. 😩 I mean they weren't bad, but it's eirher a restaurant or a supplier kind of issue. Drinks are also a bit on the expensive side, and beware some of the bottled wine options as not all are a bargain at 10€ as they seem.

Since I didn't try any other dish on the table I can't speak for them, but I heard no complaints. They were "Lulas Grelhadas".

Overall, despite the waiting time, a bit of noise in the premises (as other local restaurants, really), forgetting an item we ordered, the fries and some jacked-up pricing on beverages, I would return again for the "choco frito". It's really, really good and very well fried.

(for reference: we were 5 people and payed around 80€'ish for it all, no desserts and...

My apologies to any Native Portuguese that hear this .....but I'm coming along slowly. 😂 Everyone, go to "Restaurant Miami". (I'm having trouble tagging them on Facebook) This place is EXACTLY what Portugal Street Food is meant to be and it's three minutes from My house at Praça Fonte Nova. I had fresh cider on tap, olives, bread, amazing fish grilled over charcoal & wood, potatoes, and coffee for dessert. Everyone was super and Carla is a five star personality anywhere in the world. She's bilingual but has decided to force Me to only speak Portuguese. 😂

€17.00....

Scam !!!

Food was good and tasty. Waiter try to trick us with the bill.

It was not possible to read the handwrite bill and whats on it. After he explained, he added bread, beers in total for 10€ which we didnt received or ordered. After calculate verything together, what was on the menu it should be 60,70 but the sum was 70.20€. He just added a random amount to make more profit of tourist/non speaking people.

So in total he try to trick us for around 20€....

My boyfriend was wanting an authentic Portuguese seafood meal at a place off the beaten path and this place delivered! The clams were so tender and flavorful. The bread was rustic and so tasty. We also enjoyed the olives and the choco frito. Good house wine. Portions were large and the prices were quite reasonable. We sat in the patio and our servers were great. All of the clientele seemed Portuguese, which is always the sign of a good place. We would return!
