Romantic atmosphere in the praça of Fonte Nova. Several restaurants carve out a space for their tables in the praça near their indoor restaurants in the buildings. I recommend eating in the praça. Restaurants each have a space at the central grill building so there are always great grill smells in the praça. This is my favorite restaurant in the praça and i highly recommend the choco frito. I've eaten choco frito all over the city and this is the most flavorful and tender and comes with a garlic aoli for dipping as well as fresh potato chips and salad. They also have takeout and i think their takeout specialty is pizza (different door beside the restaurant door) but i haven't tried it. Read moreI had ordered bacalhau and it came with a piece with almost no cod. A very small piece that finish after 3-4 forks. Specially when the codfish was the most expensive dish! I asked for a new one. I had to wait for at least 20 min. My family finished eating. And when the manager finally came with my food it was raw! The waiter with grey hair even saw how raw it was and quickly took the plate. Waited another 10-15 min for my plate. The manager was rude and didnt even apologized or gave a discount for all this waiting for the dish. With this attitude i would never recommend this reataurant. Read moreCaramelized onion steak, filled with cream, more like soggy onion on badly seasoned sauce, the other steak that we had (bitoque de vazia), came almost raw, after cooking it again, it came with a thick layer of what seemed to be butter that was left outside for many days, sadly I won't change this review because I won't go there again.
PS; People with us loved the sardines, and the steak 3 peppers.
So as long as you are eating at this restaurant something that only requires salt as seasoning, you should be fine.
