Hamburgueria Europa — Restaurant in Silves

Last week, my family and I went to eat here on the terrace. We were quickly confronted with the smell of burnt hamburgers because the exhaust hood vented onto the terrace. The menus/portion sizes were on the small side by Portuguese standards, and the hamburger lacked flavor. I'm doubtful if it was even 100% Angus beef. We wanted to order a second time at 9:40 PM, but this wasn't possible because the restaurant was supposed to close at 10:00 PM. After that, the tables around us were cleared and removed. Had a hankering for a burger and saw 4.8 stars and thought, let's do this! Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. We ordered two burgers - they were a bit slow to come out. Toppings and fixings were great, however, the bun and burger were not. The bun was an unremarkable bread-y sesame bun and felt store-bought, while the burger itself was slightly overcooked and chewy, with just enough gristle to require removal from the mouth on a couple of occasions. I had a fantastic meal here today! I asked for soemthing which was not on the menue and got a chicken and spinach risotto, which was cooked to perfection. The rice was creamy and flavorful, with tender and well-seasoned chicken and spinach. The service was top-notch - friendly, attentive staff who ensured I had everything I needed. Plus, the location is right on the promenade with beautiful ocean views. The risotto with a small beer came to around €14.
