Ponto de Encontro — Restaurant in Sines

The place looks nice and so does the menu. We sat down couple of minutes before 15:00, the waiter came and we ordered drinks. We came for a late lunch. The waiter gave us the drinks snd just left us there. After some while, I got up to ask the waiter, whether they are going to bring some menus. He told me the kitchen is closed already. Which was a bit weird to me, because they still had the menus out on the chalkboards and people around us were eating. He could have told us at the beginning.

The location was nice, right next to the city castle. The prices were awesome (daily special with starter and coffee for 11.50€). The food looked nice as well. We just didn't get...

Avoid. Arrogant and will rip you off. Asked for food for kids to be served 1st, it was served last and the kids had stuffed themselves with bread.Ordered a steak medium-rare and it came cooked like the sole of a shoe. Sent it back and the cook’s ego obviously got hurt and thought it would be fun to serve a raw piece of meat and insist on being paid for it. The meat was also clearly poor quality. Service was poor as well with teenagers serving who aren’t even able to provide enough cutlery...

We went here looking for a simple, authentic Portuguese lunch but were very disappointed. This is more like a snackbar than a restaurant. The quinoa burger was mushy and bland (factory made?), the chips were soft and not fried long enough, the cuttlefish was tough and chewy. The location is pretty and the service friendly but I wouldn’t recommend...
