My fiancé and I stumbled upon this restaurant and ended up leaving early because the service was so poor. First, we are from Uruguay and approached the server in Spanish, and he would not stop speaking to us in English. We heard him speak to other tables in Spanish, so clearly he knows the language. We ordered bread with cheese, water, and a burger with fries and rice. It took about 15 minutes after being handed menus to get our order taken, and then we waiting almost an hour after receiving bread, and did not even end up getting our burger. We were really ready to leave at this point so we asked if we could go ahead and pay, because we wanted to quickly eat the burger and leave as soon as we were done. They said yes and then after another few minutes told us our burger was cancelled because we already paid? So it was a complete waste of time. Read moreA fantastic culinary experience! Our visit to this charming restaurant in Sintra was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, making us feel like part of the family. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall experience.
The food was absolutely amazing—fresh ingredients, bold and authentic flavors, and perfectly cooked dishes that showcased the best of Portuguese cuisine. We enjoyed the lagartos, octopus rice, veal, pork, and octopus, and every single dish was outstanding. Each bite was a testament to quality and tradition.
The wine selection was also excellent, featuring top-notch Portuguese wines that paired beautifully with our meal. To top it all off, the generous owner treated us to port and cherry wine at the end, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more special.
Outstanding food, impeccable service, and a warm, familiar atmosphere—this restaurant is a must-visit in Sintra. Highly...

Given how poor the food was the prices were incredibly expensive, €22 for the rice and €18 for the ribs - paying for it felt painful.
It also felt a bit suspicious that multiple cab drivers were encouraging us to go there as we could pay for the taxis there if we didn't have cash - making it seem...
