AVOID AVOID AVOID if you want to live another day!! We had a takeaway at this joke of a curry restaurant! Poppadoms naan bread 3 rice Tharka dhal Chicken Dansak onion bahjees lamb dupiaza bombay potato. We're can I start I introduced my nephew and his girlfriend to there first ever curry takeaway and the last one at this disgusting restaurant! When me and my girlfriend ordered we made sure that we told the chap behind the counter that he would have to cut down the chilli in all dishes apart from my favourite dish chicken dansak. He said he would tell the chef to make sure. So we had 2 lagers and 1 cider because we were told it could take 20 minutes. We waited for about 20 minutes and the food was handed over. Not cheap €74 but I thought this didn't matter. When we arrived home 8 min later was embarrassed sad and shocked when we opened the bags the presentation was vile the chicken plus lamb was stuffed in a round takeaway plastic small!! Dish when opened it I was lost for words! Watery liquid and soggy onions with little chicken and lamb swimming in uncooked curry powders the wrong ones! Now I know how curry is cooked plus the spices that should acomodate the rich flavours of these lovely dishes. The poppadoms were OK the rice was not bad and the plain naan bread was also acceptable. The onion bahjees were very hot and overspiced and dry. The tharka dhal waswhole lentils wich should be creamy with galic on the top nothing like it again far too spice and no flavour. I was disgusted and had Dheli belly overnight because i tried the food whilst my guests could only eat the poppadoms rice and naan. To finish off i complained the next day and the owner tried to justifie everything i travelled to india 6 times for work and are not totally trying to compare the food from there or the UK were lived most of my live but this vile overpriced junkfood. The owner paid me €30 as compesation not good enough!! Ban this...
Read moreThe Lamb Shahi Korma tastes like sugar is the main ingredient.
This was the first time I have ever eaten a sweet korma (I don't mean chutney or achar sweet, I mean, sugar, sacrine, disgustingly sweet).
I love Indian food, but this dish specifically was atrocious.
The staff however, were friendly and we had a great chat.
The establishment is clean, well maintained and overall quite nice.
Weirdly a cellphone was playing music from its little built-in speaker at the till, but that's the only negative thing I found with the environment (I didn't use their WC so I cannot review that).
It is literally this single meal that earned this rating.
Please list the ingredients of your dishes as I have never had a shahi korma like this and it is not at all as I would expect one to be.
My only guess is that you intended to use evaporated milk to make it creamy but by accident you used an entire can of sweetened condensed milk. Or you purposefully included that amount of sugar which confuses me as to why anyone...
Read moreVery nice Indian restaurant. Very nice ambience. The owner himself came to take the order and assured to get it customised according to my taste buds. Very nice ambience. The food was exactly according to how I like it to be made. I wanted it to be extra spicy, which was just like that. He even asked me to taste it and let him know if that was okay, as I was ordering a takeaway. The place seems quite popular with the tourists/locals as the restaurant was almost half full when I was there. Overall, it was a very...
