What you will get at O Noel is very good food at a very good price. What you won't get is fine dining. Our chicken and squid dishes were very good, but there was nothing notable about them other than the generous use of flat leaf parsley on my chicken. The house red wine and port were pretty bad. One might fault the service because the server wasn't very attentive, but it was a slow Tuesday evening in early March, and friends/customers she'd known for 23 years were chatting her up. Delicious food and great service. Unfortunate that no clams were available but that happens when everything is fresh and no clams were landed in the last couple of days. Prawn starter was absolutely delicious - make sure you have enough bread to mop up the sumptuous juices. The squid and cod mains were excellent too. Can't wait to go again to sample the clams. Proper well cooked food at very reasonable prices. Very good service too. Very tasty home made local desserts if you have the room. Very worth the 5 minute walk from the tourist...

What a find. A lovely Portuguese restaurant with excellent food chatmung staff and great atmosphere. It only has about 10 tables and it was soon full with locals and visitors. Everything was well presented and nothing was too much trouble. My husband had braised Portuguese porks with pickles and I had chicken stuffed with mushroom sauce. The meat was tender and lots of flavour. A large glass of red and white wine were €2.50 each and was very enjoyable. Would thoroughly recommend if in the area and we will call again when...
