We went to Agua Salgada our first evening at Sagres, after that, we went there every day for the rest of our stay in Sagres! The tapas were so goood! Delicious! The staff was so kind and prepared! Ruben (bar tender, chef, almost everything there) was so kind with us! He gave us tips on what to eat, what to drink, what to visit, what to do! He became a friend for us! Best person we met during our stay! On Friday we had a big party with all the tourists over there! The music was good (DJ and bongo player)! Ruben made also some show with the drinks and offered shots to us.

Best tapas: Percebes Fried squid Toasted bread with butter and garlic Fried shrimps Mussels Clams

The cocktails (the ones we tried) were all good!

Good selection of local wines and artisanal beers.

Don’t miss that place at all if you...

I was solo surf tripping during Easter Half Term. First night I arrived was late in the evening and the shops were closed to get food to cook in my hostel. I ventured out and stumbled on this place. My eyes were too big for my belly, but my goodness the food was delicious. Also the staff were soooo nice. The goats cheese and honey, the flame grilled peppers. Absolutely divine, all washed down with a lovely pint of Super Bock. I decided there and then that my last supper would be there, and I went and sat at the bar and it was just as good. I tried the pickle carrots and they were yummy. I know it's taken me forever to write this review. But they were awesome and deserve...

It’s frustrating to me that this restaurant doesn’t show up in google search results under restaurants or if you zoom in to the map to the max. It’s only by luck that I walked by and specifically searched up the name before deciding to go inside, and I am glad I did because it was one of the best meals I had in Portugal. Some things so simply described as “fried pork”, “grilled peppers” and “mixed salad” turned out to be totally delicious. Great service as well....

This may sound like an overstatement, but let me assure you it is not. The best Negroni I have enjoyed ANYWHERE in our decades of travel. Seriously surprising. Followed by the local 'special recipe' goat cheese. Such a unique flavor vs most ghost cheese. The hamburger Chevre with the carmelized onion was a beautiful balance to the beef patty. The tuna crepe was also very good (and large). Wonderful staff, open late, fun place WITH excellent food.
