We came here at 04.50 in the morning to socialize with the local fishermen who are there to get breakfast before heading out to earn their bread.

It is not a public, touristic "take you're money" place. It's more authentic than you're gonna find. (In my opinion)

When you arrive at 14.00 hours for lunch, remember yourself the fish can't be fresh because you are 6 hours too late for that, but it's way fresher than anywhere else.

Sunday lunch disappointed from start to finish. Arrived just before 2pm, informed that most of the menu 'sold out', waited more than one hour for food, our kids had chicken that was super salty and dry, my fish portion was small and not fresh, my husbands shrimp not fresh, snack bar atmosphere with tourist prices for lousy food.... only leaving this review to spare others wasting their time and money. To eat real Food, and not junk, this is the place. Lower your expectations and get suprised by tipical Portuguese food. Also, by eating here you are directly supporting the hard working fishing community, as this is part of the Local Fishing Association.
