Me and my Fiancé have not long returned from a trip to Monte Gordo and I can say without a doubt that Thai Orchid, reigns supreme as the epitome of culinary excellence in the region. Ray, the gracious proprietor, showcased an unparalleled commitment to hospitality, bending over backwards to fulfill our every desire. From the impeccably prepared Red Thai Curry to the flawlessly executed Duck, each dish transcended expectations, delivering a symphony of flavors that could not be compared to else where in Monte Gordo it was that amazing! The elegant restaurant matched the stellar service, while the invigorating cocktails offered the best bang for your buck (beware these aren't watered down like the other places in the vicinity so they will get you drunk quicker- always a win in my eyes!) Our return for a lunch rendezvous resulted in a kebab of grand proportions, leaving us satiated and astounded by the reasonable pricing. This is a difficult one to review as Ray the owner opened especially for us to eat at the restaurant. Well, you don't get that service anywhere! We had telephoned the Thai Orchid to see iof it was open and although it wasn't he offered to make us a meal as long as we ordered what we wanted beforehand, obviously. On arrivel, Ray greeted and seated us, then offered a choice of wines. We chose the house wine which was very good. We had Chicken Satay to start, which was very fresh and tsasty. We then shared a Pad Thai Noodles and Green Thai Curry with rice. Both dishes were excellent and we both cleared our plates. Came here around 6pm on a Tuesday night, although open it was not busy at all. I know people eat quite a lot later so this was not problem. On arrival I was greetmy friendly staff who directed me to sit outside. There is seats inside but due to COVID-19 they have closed the inside section off. I didn't want to eat outside so I decided to get a take away and eat back at my hotel.

I order prawn pad Thai and waited about 20 mins for it to be ready. I paid 14.95€.

When I got back to my hotel the food was still piping hot and had lots of flavour. I didn't really like the prawns so I took them out and ate the noodles, it was still very delicious.

Dissapointing I couldn't eat at the restaurant as other restaurants in the area are allowing inside eating but food...
