China Palace — Restaurant in Vila Real de Santo António

Went the last night for a family meal and was not dispointed. I started with chicken satay and the other has spring rolls. The chicken satay was well presents and beautifully cooked with a generous portion of sauce, very enjoyable The spring rolls were vegetarian and served with a sweet and sour sauce and we're very good as well. The main courses were 3 meat chow mein, chicken port and prawns with plant of each and not in the slightest greasy. Next was lemon chicken served with fried rice, again generous portions and very tasty according to my daughter Finally was the chicken with almonds, served with fried rice, very tasty. My fiance finished of the evening with flambé ice cream, a delightful treat and cooked at the table. There was too much food for the girls and the staff happing offered a carryout container to take what was left home with us. I see a few poster here talk about bland food. Very well organised restaurant with a nice Chinese decorations.located in one of the busy roads.A variety of seating options. Outside terrace for summer time but I must admit the chairs are not to comfortable I would suggest a back cushion as I was feeling some back pain and discomfort.Inside seating is definitely more comfortable with a covered patio.lots of variety and great chinese dishes to choose from the menu.loved their spring rolls.,Food is served with good quality and freshly cooked .Value for money. and well served meal.Proffesional friendly and attentive staff.Hope to come back here and repeat my experience.I highly recommend...

Recently visited this restaurant, very disappointed. We're show to a table which was not set up, not even knives and forks. We chose to tourist menu, and asked for 2 glasses of house wine and were told they did not sell wine by the glass, then asked for half bottle if Mateus rose, to be told they had sold out, but had full bottles available. We chose to have a bottle if beer each. When the good was served it was mediocre, I had curry which had no sauce on it and my partner sweet and sour which came with very small pellet sized pieces if battered pork.
