Oh, where do I even begin with my abysmal experience at La Terraza? This restaurant is an absolute disaster in every sense of the word. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a regrettable evening. If you're considering dining here, save yourself the trouble and run as far away as possible.

First and foremost, the ambiance was dreadful. The restaurant's "terrace" was nothing more than a cramped and shabby space with outdated, uncomfortable furniture. The lack of proper lighting made it difficult to even see the menu. It felt like I was trapped in a dingy, forgotten corner of a forgotten city.

Speaking of the menu, it was an utter disappointment. The selection was limited, and it seemed like they hadn't updated it since the 90s. The dishes lacked any creativity or innovation, and the prices were outrageously high for the quality they offered. I wouldn't have minded the cost if the food was decent, but it was far from it.

The service was a complete disaster as well. The staff seemed uninterested, aloof, and disorganized. It took an eternity for our orders to be taken, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly microwaved. There was no attention to detail, and our requests for basic condiments were ignored entirely.

Now, let's talk about the food itself. It was hands down the worst dining experience I've had in years. The appetizers were bland and tasteless, as if they were prepared without any seasoning or care. The main courses were equally disappointing—overcooked, greasy, and presented without any flair or garnish. It felt like they couldn't care less about the quality they were serving their customers.

And let's not forget the icing on the cake: the restroom. I've seen gas station restrooms cleaner than the one at La Terraza. The lack of hygiene and cleanliness was a glaring testament to the overall neglect of this establishment.

I had hoped that at least the desserts could salvage some part of the meal, but I was left with yet another disappointment. The options were limited, and the one we chose tasted like it had been thawed out from a frozen, store-bought box.

To sum it up, La Terraza is a complete disaster from start to finish. The poor ambiance, lackluster menu, abysmal service, and atrocious food combine to create an experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I have thoroughly enjoyed eating here this evening with the Mrs and her family, we have started with the focaccia as a starter and for the price the portion was huge, thumbs up for that, I have then ordered the prosciutto and melon and the melon was the sweetest melon I ever had, followed by the tagliata di manzo, some chips, salad and everything was top notch. The Mrs went for the ossobuco which she really enjoyed, the rice was cooked to perfection and the meat was so tender you could break it with the fork (I had the chance to taste her dish), my brother in law went for the saltimbocca alla romana which he said was delicious. The food was quite good. They definitely do not hold back in the seafood component of the seafood pasta. The restaurant is slightly more expensive than some other restaurants in the area, but this is justified by the quality of food and service. Personally, I like pasta with tomato sauce and I couldn't find one at this restaurant, and this is the only reason I do not give 5. My partner on the other hand loved his pasta.

And at least one of the bruschetta options they serve is not a bruschetta, it should be called cheese bread...
