Bebabel Qatar — Restaurant in Doha

Was staying at St Regis for few days. The whole stay was perfect apart from this place. Customer service was bad (rude waiter), one of the waiters was actually shouting at other staff members. Too expensive and no where near value for money with very small portions. Food wasn't great and we tried much better seafood in other places in Doha. We were using entertainer voucher and waiter gave us incorrect sum verbally, they have a threshold of 400QR to activate the voucher; hence we ordered more based on the incorrect sum from the waiter and bill came higher than expected. Shisha smell is everywhere in and out (not recommended for non smokers and kids). Overall worst seafood experience. If going to St Regis, there are some other better experiences...

We were staying at the St. Regis hotel and this restaurant was recommended by one of the Vine employees (Vine is restaurant where we were having breakfast every day). Bebable is a new Lebanese restaurant (one year old). The food and service were exceptional. Yuwan was the server taking care of us and was very attentive and professional. If you go, ask for him, he is the best server in Doha. We ordered fatoush salad, ravioli sheesh barak, and a meat platter. Everything was delicious and presented in a very appealing way. It was perhaps my worst seafood experience ever! Although I have been a big fan of this place 2 years ago. We have ordered the grilled shrimps and they brought it marinated with indian sauce, it was more of boiled shrimps. The shrimps provencial we could not eat more than one. We had to return the hammour fish and after the second attempts had to eat it was still lacking seasonings and not fresh. I will call the management to complain as I was not happy at all of this experience. They must have changed chief...
