A Spectacular Evening at Rivaaj – A Fine Dining Indian Delight
Our visit to Rivaaj @ St. Regis last night was nothing short of exceptional! This award-winning fine dining Indian restaurant has truly made its mark on Qatar’s culinary scene, and we were fortunate to experience it on a special evening – the last day of celebrity Chef Jolly’s visit. His warm hospitality and personal attention added an extra touch of exclusivity to an already remarkable evening.
Right from the booking, Suvankar ensured a seamless reservation process, and once seated, Danish provided top-tier service, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. The Thursday Night Brunch, priced at QAR 195 (inclusive of soft beverages), offered an impressive spread of flavors and textures.
Star Dishes of the Night:
Live station Chicken Chettinad tacos – A unique and flavorful twist!
Lamb Seekh Kebabs – Juicy, tender, and bursting with spices.
Chicken Roasted Drumsticks & Malai Murgh – Perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection.
Signature Daal Makhani – Rich, creamy, and indulgent.
Lamb Biryani – The highlight of the evening, featuring the most tender and succulent mutton.
What Didn’t Impress:
The chaat station lacked authenticity and flavor.
The seafood options were underwhelming.
The butter chicken fell short of expectations, missing the depth and richness it’s known for.
Ending on a Sweet Note:
The live Kulfi & Gulab Jamun station was an absolute treat, offering a delightful and authentic finish to the meal.
Adding to the experience was the live music and elegant ambiance, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

Read moreThis was our first and long pending visit to Riyasat restaurant. Located at St. Regis(the most sophisticated and opulent hotel space in Doha), Riyasat offers Indian cuisines in its own style. We opted for a brunch. The brunch was full of varieties. As we are vegetarian and bit skeptical about the options but I must say they had nothing less than any Indian restaurant and of course very different options. We spent almost 3 hours there and we had lot of food and all food was well cooked, delicious and sufficient enough in quantity. The portion of all items was good enough to finish which is a very good thing. No wastage at all. Dahi Kabab, Chenna Seekh Kabab and Beetroot Chops were top of my list. Refer pics for more. Desert - Kulfi Gadbadi (Deepak explained the story behind and served it) from Mangalore was good to taste. Chai masala was add on to the cuisine in the last and helped digested all we had. Staff was very pleasant, helpful and always smiling. Rashid was our server and he took care of us very well throughout the Brunch. We had a quick chit chat being from same region back in India. All other staff was also very good and always attentive. If you are vegetarian and have never visited...go for the brunch. Surely recommended as it is a worth. Not to mention, the ambience is very good, you can experience bit Indian paintings and other decorations. Must visit !! We will visit again for Ala Carte options, may be... Thanks to the restaurant, staff, cooks, chefs and Bartenders....
