Crabtonite — Restaurant in Doha

Place was ok. Very bad service. Food was so so. The prawn and crab were not so fresh today. And barely any taste. Guess they ran out of salt?

And the worse thing is about the staff. Not sure if the shop owner pays them well, staffs all seem not so happy to work? When we placing order, we wanted 2 kg of crab. Instead of offering different sauce to cook, the staff kept on saying: it’s two portion, which means 60 riyal times 2. As if we will not pay .....

and there was a male staff, wearing white shirt, maybe he’s a manager or supervisor? Always playing with his phone, whenever we wanted to ask for something, we had to shout. And shout many times to grab their attention.

In general, the staff was not friendly here. Everything you need, you have to shout and ask. And you need to ask for it all the time. Wouldn’t recommend it, since what we paid doesn’t match with the service that...

I have been coming to this restaurant for years now! Consistently might I add. Recently I have come again and I have noticed several negative changes. Here are just a few: 1. You cannot split the bill. When I come, I always come with a friend. They have made it extremely difficult to pay by cash, or to split the bill. 2. ADDITIONALLY the digital system is completely pointless and unnecessary. They made us put our order online ONLY (no menus anymore). Then, the waitress just came and looked at the order we put it on our phone. 3. If you pay card you can only pay through online. Not a physical card. Ridiculous! 4. Hospitality and service is slow and an extreme waste of time. Food taking long is completely understandable due to the type of cuisine however the waiters are slow and don’t seem to care. Food...

My husband and I love a seafood boil and were blown away by the quality and flavor at Crabtonite. Being familiar with this American style Louisiana Cajun cuisine- this spot nails it on the head. Anything worth eating comes with a cost so be ready to eat with your hands. It is a bit messy meal to eat but don’t worry they provide bibs and gloves to make it neat as possible for you. I highly recommend the fried lobster tails with Cajun fries and onion rings. Both were so tasty without needing any additional dipping sauces. The vibe of the restaurant is fun with unique signs on the wall and even a Pac-Man arcade machine available for you to play.
