Hesitated to go to this branch because our usual go-to Yeehwa was fullybooked today. Today was jampacked as most are celebrating mother's day(US version). We took the 9pm slot since its the earliest avaible. (Learned our lesson-make sure to call ahead of time 😉) so we waited for a few minutes before they let us in. Been wanting to sit in the main restaurant area for the cherry blossom vibe, but VIP area is also giving, classic Korean restaurant facade. There was like only 2 server in the VIP area so they had to cater everyone one after the other. Our order came slower than usual Yee-hwa expection (I guess more people celebrate mother's day than valentines day 😁) it gave us more time to eat and drink. Hubby planned to make cocktails for us but kept the Bacardi all to himself. I had cabernet sauvignon though, perfect pair for the steak. The kids just kept on with the gogi-gui, Sasha had massive appetite tonight, exact opposite of his little brother who just ate little beef bacon. I swear everything was so tender and flavorful when grilled perfectly. Sushi was not included in the Sunday buffet, probably why we didn't get satiated quick, but sashimi was a must-try too, esp the salmon, not a fam of ebi sashimi but yes you can try too, its a buffet after all. We were the only table left so the kabayan catered to us more, gave our orders & requests fast, and offered us ice cream too, very accomodating in fact, given that he must be exhausted already. Hands down. Melona was not available but the substitute was also creamy, not my usual melon flavored melona, but better than nothing. We used the entertainer voucher B1G1 (actually purchased it because of Yeehwa 😆) we will definitely...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Yee Hwa Millennium Plaza recently, and what truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service provided by our waiter. From the moment we were seated, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing.
He had an excellent knowledge of the menu and made thoughtful recommendations that suited our preferences perfectly—especially when it came to balancing flavors and spice levels. Our orders arrived promptly, perfectly timed between courses, and he regularly checked in to ensure everything was to our liking.
What stood out most was his professionalism and genuine friendliness. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—refilling drinks, replacing cutlery, and making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Even during a busy dinner rush, he maintained a calm and courteous demeanor, handling everything with a smile.
It’s rare to find service that feels both efficient and personal, and this waiter struck that balance beautifully. He made our night truly enjoyable, and we left not only satisfied with the food but also with a strong impression of the hospitality.
Highly recommend both Yee Hwa and especially this gentleman’s service—he’s a true asset to...
Read moreWe visited Doha during a layover and were surprised to see that the top rated restaurant in the area was a Korean Japanese restaurant in our hotel! The restaurant is beautifully decorated.
We ended up getting the AYCE kbbq and sushi, which was a new combo for us. We overestimated our hunger and I think we would've enjoyed a la carte or a set menu better. The soups and straws were surprisingly expensive relative to the AYCE, so we didn't end up getting them. I learned through this experience that I need soybean paste stew and steamed eggs to have a complete kbbq experience, and I don't need sushi.
We tried all of the sashimi options. The salmon was quite good -- fresh and tender. The tuna was fresh too, but not fatty at all. We got a lot more of these, but struggled to finish.
The thinly sliced beef was good (though had too much fat in some pieces).
We ordered the steamed egg a la carte and while the texture was good, it was a bit sweet which was weird. The banchan were good and authentic.
Overall it was a good experience but we learned that AYCE kbbq+sushi...
