Renegades — Restaurant in San Jose

I have been coming to Renegades for years (since it was in the old location, in fact), and it never disappoints. Now I work here. Our customers come from a variety of groups across gender and orientation spectrums. Sometimes it's quiet and you have the chance to get to know your fellow patrons, and sometimes it's so busy you can barely get up to the bar. Regardless, the music or other entertainment is always thought out with the customer in mind.

There are only four parking spots. No offstreet parking unless it’s around the dark corner where no one parks. I walked in during karaoke and the DJ was talking about Wednesday nights and how women are not allowed because it’s an all men event. I was the only woman there So right off the bat I did not feel welcomed. Cute patio but only 10 people inside - 1 woman out of 9 guys. Their cheapest beer is a $7 pbr….i wont be back. When people say this is a neighborhood bar, it's true. Everyone here generally knows one another. I would say from either socializing or the event they have throughout the week etc. It really does have a community vibe. Always a good time here!
