Food was great but the staff attitude really spoilt my appetite. My relatives came down to KL so I decided to bring them to experience the infamous Foo Hing Dim Sum. When it reached my number to go in, my relatives were still finding parking, the staff at the door said we have to be all present to go in. I totally understood and complied. Just within a minute, all of them arrived and I told the staff. I decided to wait in front as the next turn would be mine. Soon after it was my turn, while the staff directed me in, I heard him saying in a small voice “it’s your turn now, can you stop staring at me”. I was taken aback and confused, he said again “staring at people is rude”. Now I’m really shocked. I know I have a resting bit*h face but I’m wearing a mask?? How did you conclude I’m staring at you annoyed? If I’m really annoyed I would directly show you I’m not pleased and say it out. I didn’t even say any dissatisfied word and said okay when I was told to wait, didn’t even crossed my arms or showed any displeased actions while waiting. I confronted him and explained I didn’t stare at him, oh wow, his answer really really shocked me, “well yes I was not talking to you, I was telling my colleague staring at people is rude”. Oh my goodness, I really couldn’t believe this was happening? I said “saying that in front of a customer is also not polite”, he really said to me “I was only telling my colleague that staring at people is really rude”. It really really spoilt my appetite and I really lost my mood to introduce the nice food to my relatives. Not to mention the table for us was really too small, all grown adults (some old people) barely can sit comfortably at the table. I did not asked for a bigger table as it was still okay and I really do not have the energy to tell the staff, still being shocked by the door staff’s attitude. I really don’t think this is a good attitude to treat customers, saying stuff in front of customers discreetly and acting you’re just talking to someone else. This customer service was really really bad. There are many other places to go to, I really don’t NEED to come to Foo Hing to eat dim sum if this is the...

A3. Shang Hai “Xiao Long Bao” (2/5) While the fillings of the Xiao Long Bao were decent, the skin was too thick, and the ginger and vinegar provided did not enhance the taste. In fact, it made the dish taste worse. I would consider trying a more premium brand like Din Tai Fung at a similar price point. However, my partner enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao.
A9. Steamed “Siew Mai” (3/5) The Siew Mai was average, but the price was overly high.
A34. Egg Porridge (3/5) The porridge was average, with a thick texture, and the Youtiao was hard.
A38. Portuguese Egg Tart (4.25/5) The Portuguese Egg Tart is a must-try, with a fragrant and well-caramelized filling, and a crumbly crust that complements it perfectly.
A39. Prawn “Cheong Fun” (3.75/5) The Cheong Fun was soft and smooth, and the sauce had just the right amount of saltiness and umami taste. However, the prawn flavor was too strong and didn't complement the Cheong Fun and sauce very well. I would prefer a plain Cheong Fun instead.
A49. Fried Shrimps Rolls (3.5/5) It's quite nice, and worth a try.
A50. Fried Salad Prawns (3.5/5) It's quite nice, and worth a try.
A51. Fried Crispy Yam (3.5/5) The dish has a mild yam fragrance, and the filling is very flavorful. It's definitely worth a try!
Special-E. Mixed Egg Roll (4/5) It's a must-try!
Service 3.5/5 The service was slightly too extreme, with staff quickly clearing plates once we finished one, was uncomfortable. Furthermore, asking 5-6 people to clean up a table was excessive where during the table cleaning the aggressive plate tossing into the bin was also uncomfortable and interrupting.
Ambience 4.25/5 I visited on a normal Friday at 10 a.m., and although there was no queue, the shop was quite crowded and almost full. The environment was fairly comfortable, but it could have been better if all the chairs were cushioned.

🏎️ After a good 3hrs race from Singapore to Malaysia 🇲🇾 KL, Puchong we finally arrived at this dim sum restoran. Google map lead us to this restaurant just 30mins past opening hour from 7am.
This is our first visit to this location in KL. We been to the nearby mall during our last trip in October. Not much to see basically it's a very neighborhood mall and alot of shop are closed.
We were guided to our table of 3, and the restaurant was half occupied on a Friday weekday morning. Browse thru the menu and pick some of the food choice we would like to try. Order 2 cuppa of chiam (coffee mixed with tea)
Shortly after our drinks was served. 2 cuppa of hot chiam. Presentation was really appealing with the foamy cap on top served in traditional coffee ☕. First taste the smell was aromatic but I find it too sweet to my liking. Overall still a nice cuppa of chiam and I ordered a second cup and request for less sweet. ✌️
Now our good was served, mini egg tart, siew mai, crispy bean curd skin with prawn 🍤 paste, char siew bolo bun, fish mai, fried carrot cake, siew mai with scallops and dry oyster siew mai.
Most of the dishes are nice and fresh but I only find the char siew bolo bun a little too sweet for my liking and the siew mai with scallops is just meh 😕. The rest of the dishes past my taste standard.
I would say this is a good dim sum restaurant to try when you in the area. Worth losing my sleep 😴 just to give you a try.
4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for you!
