Baba Marta — Restaurant in Arbat District

Kind staff but nothing much with the "Bulgarian". Would have been much better if someone spoke Bulgarian (as it is a Bulgarian restaurant which I rare) even one greeting for "Good evening".

Didn't have some of the dishes which was unexpected for us (the explain was that it was over - something surprising seeing the restaurant 10% full).

Something that disappointed us is that today is a holiday in Bulgaria and we expected something like a programme and even nice traditional Bulgarian music

Great authentic folk restaurant! We have stopped for a light lunch and beer trying many delicious hot appetizers. The Google misleads the users that restaurant has outdoor seating which caused some confusion. We have asked to eat outside and the team put extra effort to prepare all our food to take away, including bottling our beer. It's a good place, feels like home. Very expensive though. I really loved house wine and fried soft Bulgarian cheese as well as flagship Bulgarian dish which is Sach (beef and veggies). Portions are generous. The atmosphere is very cosy, authentic music, lots of old things from Soviet times used for interior design which creates light nostalgia.
