Pkhalikhinkali — Restaurant in Palace District

Our first night in St Petersburg we went to Phali-Hinkali on recommendation from our Hotel. They swapped waiters to accommodate us with one who could speak English. She made some great authentic Georgian recommendations. The food was divine, service was great and we went home completely satisfied. We did struggle however to find the restaurant as it is in a square off the main road with the entrance amongst apartment buildings. The 'English' readable name is also no where on the outside and not being able to speak or read Russian made it difficult to find.

We went back for our last dinner in the city and once again the food was great.

I ordered the same orange smoothie as last time and I got a banana smoothie. When I asked why it tasted more like Banana than orange they offered to add orange juice but all they did was blitz the ice more and diluted the Banana smoothie. When they should have told me they had no...

Located in the quiet place near Nevsky Prospekt, this Georgian restaurant can offer you all delicious dishes of Georgia's cuisine. One of my favorite food is so called khinkali , you can see them in attached photo. I ordered 4 of them just got 180 russian rubles, around 3 dollars, good bargain ((: I strongly recommend you to try khinkali with suluguni cheese and adgapsandal. Khinkali don't rely on sauce or bread - it is a self-sufficient dish. Eating them should also be done in a special way: grab a tight tail, bite the bottom on the side and drink juice - the most delicious part, and then eat the rest, speechless and biting your tongue out of pleasure. Adgapsandal - A slightly bitter eggplant, sparkling with glossy skin, juicy sweet peppers, rosy carrots and soft, melting in your mouth tomatoes........

Пришли с другом в субботу вечером покушать в грузинском ресторане. Девушка на входе встретила, сообщив, что на данный момент мест нет, но мы можем оставить номер телефона и примерно через 30 минут места освободятся и нам по телефону сообщат, что мы может зайти и покушать. А так как мы оставляем номер телефона, то это приравнивается к брони, а значит плюс 10% к чеку. Ок, подумали мы, хотя нифига себе.

Гуляем, значит, мы недалеко от этого рЭсторана, и тут и там, и уже уличных концертов на канале Грибоедова послушали. Прошел час, а звонка нет. Возвращаемся, значит, в эту хинкальную, а нам там говорят Вы знаете, мест все еще нет, но вы можете заказать на вынос и поесть во дворе вместе с бомжами и уличными котами, либо подождите еще примерно 15 минут. Мы как наивные сопляки думаем, ну ладно, подождем еще 15 минут. Сидим во дворе и ждем пока мадам с глубоким декольте нам позвонит и мы наконец сможем покушать в этом рЭсторане. Ждем 15 минут, 30 минут, а звонка все нет. Ну мы плюнули на этот общепит вoнючий и пошли вкусно кушать в настоящий ресторан на Пяти углах. Название начинается на "Ха", заканчивается на "ури". Всем рекомендую. Обслуживаем там такое, будто Путин с двумя дочерьми кушать пришел. И нет никаких 10% за ожидание во дворе. Ах да, из рЭсторана нам так и не позвонили. Ну и ладно, ну и не нужно, ну и...
