This is a nice little Israeli restaurant, quite family friendly. The white quartz tabletops are classy. I ordered the rack of lamb, which were mislabeled as "lamb ribs with smoked sour cream" on the menu. The presentation was well done, with a mysterious flaming sage leaf. However, the chef missed the important detail of cleaning the rib bones. The connective tissue was left on. The sour cream had no hint of smoke flavor at all. The tempting promise of smoked sour cream was the main reason I had ordered this entree. This restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, but the signature dish on their menu wasn't quite up to standard. Even so, it is a good place for a family outing.

Had an absolutely delightful breakfast at this cafe! The Shakshuka was bursting with flavor, the hummus made for a delicious side, and the coffee was the perfect choice to kickstart the day. The menu offers a variety of great options, and the food quality is truly commendable. The cozy ambiance and friendly service create an inviting atmosphere, making it a spot that's definitely worth revisiting. I want to extend a special shoutout to Nikolai for providing excellent service during our visit. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor significantly enhanced our overall experience at the cafe.

Saviv is a perfect Israel-style breakfast spot. It’s not kosher since most of their dishes contain milk (thus not very friendly for vegans or lactose intolerant folks). Shakshouka was great, definitely a must-try. What was a bit confusing is the fact that we couldn’t order hummus because it’s only presented in the main menu and it becomes available only after 1pm. Wifey ordered cottage casserole with persimmon custard, and said it was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend to visit!

Saviv is one of those rare places in Saint Petersburg where food, atmosphere, and hospitality come together in perfect harmony. From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel transported—warm lighting, thoughtful decor, and a lively yet relaxed vibe create the sense that you’ve stepped into a stylish spot in Tel Aviv rather than northern Europe.

The menu is a celebration of modern Israeli cuisine, with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and an impressive balance of tradition and innovation. Dishes are beautifully presented, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into every plate. The hummus is some of the best I’ve ever had outside of Israel—silky, rich, and full of flavor, served with warm, fluffy pita that’s hard to stop eating. The mezze selection is perfect for sharing, and each small plate feels like its own experience, from smoky baba ghanoush to vibrant salads bursting with herbs and spices.

For mains, the standout for me was the lamb—it was cooked to perfection, tender and full of depth, with spices that linger without overwhelming. The seafood options are also exceptional; fresh, light, and well-seasoned, they showcase the kitchen’s versatility. Vegetarians and vegans won’t feel left out either—the roasted cauliflower and inventive plant-based dishes easily hold their own against the meat and fish offerings.

The drinks menu is another highlight. There’s a thoughtful selection of wines, including Israeli bottles you don’t often see in Russia, along with craft cocktails that are creative without being pretentious. Pairing a citrusy cocktail with the mezze spread is an absolute delight.

Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The staff clearly take pride in what they do, and they’re happy to guide you through the menu, recommend pairings, or share a bit of background about the dishes. It creates a very personal dining experience, which makes Saviv feel more than just a restaurant—it’s a place of hospitality.

Overall, Saviv is a gem in Saint Petersburg’s dining scene. Whether you’re familiar with Israeli cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is a restaurant that delivers on every front: food, atmosphere, and service. It’s equally suited for a casual evening with friends, a special celebration, or even just dropping in for a cocktail and mezze at the bar.

Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be...
