Pyshechnaya, located at Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street 25 in St. Petersburg, is a cherished institution renowned for its delectable, freshly made Russian donuts, known as “pyshki.” These warm, sugar-dusted treats are complemented perfectly by a cup of coffee or tea, offering a simple yet delightful culinary experience.

The establishment exudes a nostalgic Soviet-era ambiance, with its modest decor and straightforward menu, which many patrons find charming and authentic. Despite its unassuming appearance, Pyshechnaya has garnered significant popularity among both locals and tourists, often resulting in long queues. However, the efficient service ensures that the wait is manageable, and the experience is well worth it.

One of the standout features of Pyshechnaya is its affordability. Visitors can indulge in multiple pyshki without straining their budget, making it an ideal spot for a quick snack or a light breakfast. The cafe operates from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, providing ample opportunity to visit throughout the day.

In summary, Pyshechnaya offers a delightful glimpse into traditional Russian snack culture. Its delicious pyshki, combined with its historic atmosphere and reasonable prices, make it a must-visit destination for anyone in...

As it is sauce was invented to save cook's mishaps in French cuisine, a sugar powder and sweet coffee became a disguise for the bitterness of barely warm donuts that are being made here. Try one without sugar and you'll immediately feel that bitter taste due to either overheated cooking oil or simply due to using the same oil in the fryer over and over again. Besides, I wonder how many years they have had a plaque saying that they don't accept credit cards due to the connection issues? Last time it was 2011 when I saw the notice. If you look closely, you'll see that they don't draw receipts (which alone is illegal), and it means their business can't operate without the authorities not noticing, therefore they are afloat only...

My own experience was as below ;

I waited in a line for like 15-20 minutes, which I considered a very normal waiting time, because this place is very famous and it was a weekend there.

Since I don't speak the Russian Language, it was normal to receive a standard quick service while ordering, I felt them. Because there is a big line and I took more time than I have to

The atmosphere inside is not good ! It was super hot, I was sweating inside so bad. And it is kind of small and crowded inside, so I took my sweet and eat in a park nearby ( highly recommended )

Prices are acceptable

I feel like without the white sugar at the top of the sweet, the taste would be so normal. So, I gave the...
