City Space Bar — Restaurant in Zamoskvorechye District

A review for wheelchair users specifically and the disabled and those who for whatever reason don't drink alcohol.

I really wasn't sure what to expect , with so many sky bars and restaurants in general being inaccessible in Moscow, but because I notified them in advance, they did try to accommodate me. There is no disabled toilet,if your wheelchair can fit into the ladies room, it won't fit into the stall enough to be able to close the door, so if anyone else goes in there, be aware. The bar itself has panaromic city views, it was a very comfortable sofa/ booth, and I got to wheel around most of the bar to see out the window, but eventually you come to a point where it is impossible to fit through, and my chair is very small.

The other good thing is you don't have to be carried up any staircases, which was a nice change. I thought the interior of their lobby was also worth seeing because I give then top prize so far for Christmas decorations. Absolutely amazing Christmas fireplace display, beautiful trees inside and out.

Unfortunately, something went very wrong with the food I ordered. It is a cocktail bar, but I don't drink alcohol for medical reasons, and they offered me a virgin cocktail called "fox" something, but I asked for strawberries in it instead of rasberries, and I don't know at what point but whomever made this cocktail put vodka in it, I know this because I became violently ill! Sorry to have to be brutally honest, but I am certain it wasn't food poisoning from my tuna steak or steak fries, because I barely ate any of it, after feeling immediately sick from the drink!

So I iriginally ordered a Caeser salad, as a starter, a piece of bread, a tuna steak with fries for my main course before receiving the drink, but as you can see from the pictures I couldn't eat much because my intestines were already on fire after two sips.

And it has to be mentioned because there was NO translation error or miscommunication, I specifically ordered a virgin cocktail and someone specifically put alcohol (vodka) in this, enough that after a few sips, I knew firstly, that I just drank alcohol and then because how sick it made me and dizzy, it was strong!!

it was a not very nice time afterward dealing with a violent reaction for hours and hours, and for heaven's sake when you are charging people at those prices, don't mess around with their drinks, I also after sipping it innediatly requested water, which never came until much later when I had to remind them twice!

So yes a mixed review, beautiful place, friendly staff, but I had 3 different waiters and I wasn't there that long, the food I couldn't really enjoy, and it was very very very expensive, even for a bread roll, so it would have been nice to have been able to get to eat properly. And never, NEVER, just take the liberty as a bartender to put in at least a double shot of vodka when it was made abundantly clear to the original waiter, that I can't have any!!! So it's s pity, and thank God I am staying around the corner otherwise I would have had a big problem with not being able to get into their loo to shut the door!

Swissotel, I write this to help you not to be scornful. Do not assume everyone can drink vodka, if alcohol at all, I know "it's Russia" but not everyone wants vodka. Maybe they gave me the wrong drink, but NOT MY FAULT, and they didn't even offer to take that off the bill!!

Watch out with the reception girl of the bar (floor 33). We arrived to this place and she told us that we can only access with reservation only because the place was very crowded. This sounded weird because the place was so quite. We told her that the concierge told us that the place was ok to go there and she wanted to send us to wait in our hotel room. Then we asked to let us go and take a quick peek to the famous city view. Finally she let us pass and what a surprise, the place was at 50% full. We asked for a table directly at the 34th floor and we got a perfect and nice view immediately, even the service, food and drinks were very good. We spent almost 4 hours there and the place was at the most 70% full. It is sad that because of a bad customer service in the reception of the place, we almost lost the opportunity of that great view. Disappointing that the Swissotel allow this to happen. Кто не хочет читать много букв. Скажу просто: ресторан отличный, кухня вкусная, виды красивые. Может показаться дорогова-то, но стоимость полностью оправдана. Однозначно рекомендую! Ниже подробности. Начну с минусов заведения. Первый это накрутка на вина очень большая раза в 4. То вино, которое мы брали (сорт ниже в описании) стоит в ресторане 4200, а по информации из приложения Vivino средняя цена на бутылку такого вина 900 рублей. Я с этим явлением часто встречаюсь в ресторанах. Судя по всему, такая накрутка это стандарт. Второй минус это достаточно скудная карта десертов, представленная в основном муссами и фруктами. Я бы добавил сюда медовик, наполеоны и другие торты, мороженное и прочие вкусняшки. Очень хотелось с чаем. Справедливости ради, стоит отметить, эти минусы перекрываются плюсами и полученными положительными эмоциями, настолько, что я даже не стал уменьшать звёздность своего отзыва. Теперь к плюсам. Бар-Ресторан находится на смотровой площадке Swiss Hotel возле дома музыки, не далеко от метро Павелецкая. Рассказывая про это место глупо не сказать, что смотровая площадка это его главная особенность. Здесь можно посмотреть Москву на 360 градусов с высоты птичьего полета практически из центра города. Красная площадь отсюда видится как на ладоне. В хорошую погоду заходящее над Москва City солнце гарантированно создаст Вам романтическую обстановку. В ресторане имеется подзорная труба, чтобы Вы могли разглядеть детали ландшафта. Место забронировать можно легко на сайте ресторана. Я бронировал в первой половине дня в четверг на вечер субботы. Теперь к кухне. Мы брали три разновидности роллов и салат с креветками в соусе вассаби. Порции на удивление оказались огромными и цену свою (~1000 руб.) оправдали. Мы не смогли все съесть. Салат с креветками в соусе вассаби экстремально вкусный и не на столько острой, как может показаться. Если будете здесь, обязательно закажите, не пожалеете. Вообще, создалось впечатление, что за качеством кухни ресторан следит самым тщательным образом. Пожалуй, можно сказать, что кухня это ещё одна причина вернуться сюда. Ну а кому кухня не интересна, могут насладиться созерцанием прекрасных видов попивая Лонг Айленд в баре, для этого тут так же созданы все возможности. Работа персонала полностью соответствует статусу. Никаких нареканий вообще! Теперь к ценам. Мы заказали, как раннее описывал, салат из креветок в чипсах и соусе вассаби, три типа роллов в том числе фирменные, бутылку красного испанского вина Monte Llano Rioja 2017 и чай. Обошлось все приблизительно в 10 000 руб. Ощущения выброшенных на ветер денег не возникло. Цена оправдывает качество.
