Amanaki Restaurant — Restaurant in Upolu

I was there last month, and the food was amazing! Grilled fish is great, but paired with a weird white sauce. Sashimi was fresh, beer served draft.

Last week when I visited it was different. The poke that is usually it’s best dish, had the bloodline and skin from the tuna still attached on multiple pieces. The sirloin steak was tough and although it is a great way to serve steak on a sizzling platter, it dried out the bottom and burnt the sauce. I asked for medium well, but it was well done for the most part. Such a disappointment because last month it was a thousand times better. I went here for about 7 meals during my 8 day stay in samoa, every time the food was amazing, waiters were amazing, everything in general was great, i tried a small variety of things but everything was good, The only downside is the amount of ice cream served with the Chocolate Cake (i love my ice cream.. and cake) One evening i got 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and the next night i got 1 scoop.. which is a tad weird. This has to be one of the best restaurants in town. The quality of the food is consistently high and the prices are very reasonable indeed. Service is excellent, as is the location opposite Apia Harbour. The seating is very versatile - inside or outside in the tropical, warm breeze. The fresh fish is just super. There's always a great atmosphere because the locals know what's good.value. I've never failed to get a table - Amanaki Hotel guests benefit from automatic reservations, I think.
