"Can't be Lebanese" We went to this restaurant for lunch since it was advertised as being Lebanese. The place was empty. Mezza was OK. Cheese sambousa with basterma had no cheese and a few bits of basterma ( I guess the cheese melted in to the oil while frying). Sambousa was also made with sambousa leaves and not Lebanese sambousa dough. We also had ras asfour which is normally small pieces of meat coked/fried with onions. It was spicy and without onions. We ordered kabab, chekaf meat and lamb chops. These should have been char grilled as in Lebanese restaurants, which makes them very tasty. However to our surprise, it seems that they were cooked on a skillet. They were also so spicy that we couldn't eat much. The kabab and the chops were dry as well. No one even came to ask how the food was while eating or when done. I have been going to Lebanese and Armenian restaurants for over 28 years and have never had meat cooked or spiced up in this way, as if I were in an Indian restaurant. Complained to the waiter and asked him to advise management. Neither did the waiter apologise nor did management even pass by. Service was good, but prices are exaggerated for the quantity of meat in an order. My advise is not...
Read moreWe found the restaurant via google and it was indeed a great choice as we longed for Lebanese taste for lunch.
The service was exemplary which is a rare trait in Saudi Arabia. They were courteous to open the door for us during a prayer break considering the scorching sun outside. They were quick to bring water for my daughter who was really thirsty.
Food was really amazing and decently priced. However, the beverages are unwarrantedly expensive, tasted perfect though. All the waiters and captain are true professionals. They brought extra juice for children and complimentary desserts post food. Checked with us if we wanted the left food to be packed that’s a great gesture and values they hold not to waste the food. We need to painfully remember when we enjoy our opulent dine, there are 6 million kids dying without food.
We’re definitely going to come back here and receive your hospitality and would certainly recommend the restaurant...
Read moreAn old diner at this fine establishment, i have always came here in the afternoons to have my business lunch.
I have a few notes that need to be taken into consideration:
First of all the waiters in particular (lebanese) they seem that they have been taught that arrogance and rudeness is the way to deal with diners. Its not the first time sadly this happens and is not acceptable. Not being greeted is not acceptable
Second and this is regarding the quality of potatoes used and condiments,
The fries are frozen which is unacceptable in a place that charges this high for food, as for the tomato ketchup it id of the lowest quality there is sat in a bottle
I am hesitant nowadays to have my business lunches here after this experience as this the last thing on my mind when having a...
