WAS one of our favorite restaurants here in riyadh , and i usually prefer to eat and spend time with my family and friends. I go there almost weekly since they opened. But sadly they changed a lot of nice things such as the welcoming flowers on the table and nice and relaxing playlist.. I don’t know what’s the matter!!! No flower on the table .. and they replaced the playlist for another playlist that it fits for a DJ in a nightclub. It became difficult to communicate with your friends at the same table since they play it very loud. You have to yell at each other to hear each. It became like a night club exactly! Not a fine dining restaurant Another thing that should be mentioned that the staff doesn’t care about my requests to turn the music down at all. There response is that the playlist comes all the way from London and they can not do anything about it because the manager who resides in London told them not to turn it down what so ever. But when Athan for pryer the trun it on but on a very low volume which I find very weird. They have changed there theme from fine dining to a fast food restaurant. I will not be coming here anymore and I would advice any one Who wants fine dining Indian restaurant they will have plenty of choices where they can sit and relax and enjoy their meal without having DJ playlists playing like in...
Read moreWas celebrating a birthday and had advised the manager of the same. The staff is not attentive to customers at all. After being seated we had to ask someone for water whereas that’s the basic thing you ask after seating a customer! The gentleman who took our order repeated everything but did not punch it in the system, I was later told that he was a trainee!! Amaly management you had just 2 tables with customers how can a fine dining restaurant screw that up??!!! I was offered to not be charged but I declined cause that is not the solution!!! The manager and supervisors were busy with what I have no clue with the restaurant practically empty! If I am spending money that this place charges, I would rather go some place else……Amaly just does not cut it...
Read moreNice atmosphere but ridiculously overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants at an indiscernable quality difference.
Update: Went back to Amaly last weekend, food and atmosphere pretty much unchanged but oh, the service level... unacceptable for a restaurant that pitches itself at the top of the market: unlit candle at the table when arriving, had to request it being lit no napkins at the table, had to ask three different staff members before something arrived, well after food was on the table. refilling the papadoms should be done without asking main course sequence poorly timed, some dished arrived 5min later than the rest
I recognize some of this may sound petty, but at this price level I expect better, much...
