Margherita — Restaurant in Municipality of Al Shamal

Unbeatable Restaurant! Our dinner at this prestigious restaurant was simply unforgettable! The food was very delicious, fresh and rich ! The staff were very attentive and always asking if there is anything they could do more for us and it took us a while to think about anything we might need cause simply we felt nothing was missing. The waiter Sein was very friendly and a true gentleman, He took the initiative to carry our baby cart to the table and assign for us nice table with great ambience. My belief is that the restaurant designed in a way to confuse the guests to choose any other Italian restaurant in the city. A bit expensive compared to other restaurant but I believe it is truly worthy and I would hardly think of trying any other Italian restaurant in Riyadh. The thing you should never miss is Pizza Boratta, The special mix of fried seafood platter. One constructive point for improvement which I would strongly recommend finding a solution for baby cart to smoothly access the elevator in the basement leading to the restaurant. I visited the restaurant on a work launch break with my colleagues.

They were very committed to the precautions of covid-19 which is always good.

The staff was very welcoming and the manager oversees the service and was so hospitable, he was so excited to hear this was our first visit to the restaurant, he offered us a dessert, it was delicious and it was a nice ending to our meal

As for the atmosphere, the decor is good nothing fancy, we enjoyed the music; it definitely reflects the Italian vibe. I can imagine the experience would be different at night at the outdoor tables.

We tried the launch offer, it was a good price.

As for the food: The bread basket and complimentary sauce is so delicious.

Personally I was expecting the pizza margarita would be better, it was dry.

We had the Caesar salad, it was good nothing fancy. The quinoa salad comes with minimal seasoning, you can add olive oil or balsamic dressing offered at the table.

The fettuccine was good as well, is what you expect this dish to taste like.

I would come again to explore...

Very nice and cosy restaurant in Riyadh, serving delicious and real Italian food. Stefano is a great chef and he always has some "out of the menu" delicious surprise to suggest. Difficult to say which is the best dish here: pasta is great, but also pizzas are very good and tasty too, not to mention the deserts. But if you like the deep fried food, try the "paranza" and you won't be let down! Update 2022: since Stefano left, the place has started a rapid descent in service and quality.
