Read moreThe WORST management ever!!!
I have been to multiple Breakfast Club branches in Kuwait and Khobar several times where the food and service have been great. However, this particular branch was a big disappointing experience! What was worse than the food, the snail pace service and the incapable manager.
I ordered a Cortado, an AVO sandwich, fluffy pancakes, and a Cappuccino. They never brought the pancakes and I had to remind the waiter of them 15 minutes after I finished my Cortado and AVO!! The pancakes arrived looking almost like advertised but they tasted nothing like freshly made pancakes. The outer layer was crispy to the point that it peeled out as one layer by itself while the middle was muddy and chewy. It was very clear to me that they cooked them on the wrong temperature. I called the manager and he argued with me a bit trying to convince me that they looked normal and that nothing is wrong with them. Then I insisted that he checks with the kitchen. Few minutes later he came back and told me that I was right. Based on that he offered to take off the drinks as an apology. I asked him to cancel the not so “fluffy” pancakes and get me the bill. To my surprise, he charged me for the drinks that he offered to take off!!!
The only thing I enjoyed were the two cups of coffee I had so I paid and left since I didn’t want anything to do with this branch anymore.
After this experience, I am NOT going to The Breakfast Club at all regardless of...
Read moreI write this hesitantly as I really don't want everyone to know about this place, but... it is doubtedly one of the best in class! Only the "American Breakfast" failed to thrill, but if you like an English breakfast, then you are good to go, maybe minus the large hotdog that occupied a good portion of the plate. The other dishes we tried, Grilled Steak (extremely tender!) and Eggs, French Toast, Belgium Waffles, and even the Eggs Benedict were delicious. All medium eggs were perfectly cooked. The food came out so fast, delivered as soon as it was made, for all six of us, it eclipsed some of the more complicated drinks.
We took home a Guacroyal, a combination of wholewheat bread, guacamole, and smoked salmon with poached eggs, but it smelled so good we started on it before we even left! It didn't disappoint.
The coffee was excellent and the orange juice very fresh. The kiddos will love their milkshakes (Oreo in our case) - yeah milkshakes with breakfast, why not!
The waitstaff was thoughtful and ever present when you needed them, but never bothersome. Kudos to such a clean and well run restaurant.
We'll be going back, I just hope it doesn't start getting too crowded. If it does, they may need to think about opening...
