Update june 2023 I used to really love this place, but the last couple of times we were there the service was bad. One of the servant (the guy with the glasses especially) always has an attitude towards our group, and not welcoming. Last time, we talked to him to put our names in the list since requeue was closed, and we were standing in-front of him for 5 minutes and he was ignoring us and talking to new ppl and his colleagues although we were next. We left, and he didn’t apologize or call us back. I have alot of nice memories here, but I don’t think I’ll be excited to come back knowing that we might be treated like this. —- December 2022 Excellent customer service, they were super nice and informative about their menu We tried: Shish taouk 10/10 Grilled Kofta 10/10 Hummus 9/10 Mutabl 10/10 Turkish coffee 9/10 Mafrouki Beirutiyeh with pistachio 9/10 The portions are smaller than pictures Cosy, lovely decorations Separate bathrooms and very...
Read moreThe place is tiny but it has its own sharma. The fence is quite high. I guess it's intentional to isolate the place from its sounding and give it a tavern feel. We didn't have a reservation, so we had to sit outside. I believe outside would be lovely in winter. There are 6 small tables for 3. Despite the ACs and the fans, it's still very hot; not to mention the fan noise. Khalid was our waiter. He was smiley and quick. Appetizers and salad were excellent specially the Huraq Osbaou (lentil), Fatteh Makdous (Eggplant). We tried 2 plates of the day and one from the menu. They were all ok. The chicken was over cooked to the point that it has become very dry and tasteless. Portions of some plates are small, for others are just ok. We were 3 adults, we payed SAR480 including tips. I would definitely return for appetizers and salads but would think twice before ordering...
Read moreThis is the definitive neighborhood dining spot. I walked with my wife and had a lovely dinner in their outdoor area. The service was friendly efficient and relaxed. The food was excellent and authentic Lebanese cuisine with a touch of homemade flair. They have daily specials and today’s was stuffed grape leaf and kosa and like all the dishes we tried were tasty and great to share. The rest of our meal was houmos, hendiba, musagaa, fatoush, grilled chicken wings and sheish taouq and for dessert pistachio mafrowka and tea. Great spot for no fuss meal and enough leftovers for a second lunch. What I liked the most was, the food had good flavor without it being greasy and heavy. My wish although not a dealbreaker is for them to have freshly baked bread. Update I was there yesterday and all good things are the same plus fresh baked bread is now a thing at...
