3.5 stars : Saddle Restaurant – DQ Branch
We had a lovely experience dining at Saddle in DQ. Dipesh was our server and provided friendly, thoughtful service throughout our meal. A special thank you to Alimudin, who kindly helped take a group picture for us—much appreciated!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a relaxed yet upscale vibe that made our visit enjoyable.
As for the food: • The calamari was a big hit with my daughter and her friend—they absolutely loved it. • My friend had the mushroom risotto and thoroughly enjoyed it. • I had the burrata salad—fresh, flavorful, and honestly, the highlight of my meal. I also tried the sourdough bread, which was warm and delicious.
There were a couple of missteps: • My daughter ordered a hamburger that was meant to have veal bacon, but it came with a slice of turkey lunch meat instead—not even browned or crisped. This substitution was disappointing and took away from her overall enjoyment. • I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes, which unfortunately tasted like instant potato flakes rehydrated with hot water. Despite being reassured they were real potatoes, the texture and taste suggested otherwise—very bland and lacking seasoning.
On a sweeter note, the crème brûlée was excellent. While we missed seeing the traditional flambé presentation, we understand the safety considerations.
All in all, this was a pleasant dining experience. While it wasn’t perfect, the quality of the service and standout dishes like the salad and calamari make me want to return. A solid 3.5 ...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Saddle House at 1364 and welcomed by Ashraf, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere is serene and inviting, with calm jazz music playing in the background, creating the perfect start to the day. The flow from the entrance, to the chic indoor seating, and out to the relaxing outdoor space is beautifully thought out, it’s a place you immediately feel comfortable in.
I ordered the Croquettes Benedict, and it was absolutely spot on. The combination of crunchy mashed potato patties, perfectly poached eggs, and a rich, slightly spicy hollandaise was an explosion of flavors in every bite. The house salad on the side was fresh and crisp, balancing the dish beautifully. Every element on the plate felt intentional and executed to perfection.
Saddle House at 1364 is more than just breakfast, it’s an experience worth savoring. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm, delicious, and well-curated start to their day.

Read moreWe visited Saddle House for breakfast and ordered two Croquet Benedict, one Flatbread with Truffle and Eggs, an Iced Latte, Flat White, and an Açaí Bowl. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Benedict –it was flavorful and perfectly prepared. However, the coffee was average to be honest, not the best. The coffee beans they use just didn’t taste good to me. My Iced Latte initially came out too light, but shoutout to the waiter who kindly fixed it for me, much appreciated!
Overall, I’d rate the experience 4/5. One thing that really bothered me, though, was the presence of flies inside the restaurant. It was annoying seeing them flying over the food, and unfortunately, one even ended up in my coffee. I really hope they pay more attention to cleanliness and...
