Bizu Restaurant & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

One of the better Sushi places in town. There's always room for improvement but considering the fact that we are in Belgrade and not LA you may consider my 4 star rating as a 5.

The ambient and atmosphere is comfy but weird at the same time. To approach the restaurant and keep in mind this is supposed to be the richest part of Belgrade you need to go trough a small building type mall which is old and falling apart so yeah it does take away from the entire experience. You need to be careful how you walk because there's not lots of light and the stairs are not visible. On the inside open space concept which is ok, but it needs TLC, when you look at the walls and ceilings they could use a RE fresh. Otherwise good food, one of the better spicy tuna rolls...

Overall okay experience. Considering that the price is above average the food does not match it really. We had different sushi rolls and they all tasted okay, can't complain on any of them, it was fresh but I've eaten much better at other places. The service was great, staff was friendly and pleasant, really made us feel welcome. Atmosphere was not so pleasant in the garden, it's crawling with mosquitoes and while the staff will offer you some anti-insect spray and light candles, it doesn't really help, I was more focused on fighting the insects than enjoying my food. When I came to this restaurant, I expected it to be full of people and bustling, but I received quite the shock when there wasn’t any one in the restaurant (this doesn’t show anything but the atmosphere wasn’t great) Anyway, the food has really good but the portions could’ve been bigger and the staff could be much nicer, as they didn’t talk much or smile, so it kinda ruins the whole experience.
