Ton Greg's Pizzeria — Restaurant in La Digue

WORST EXPERIENCED JUST BECAUSE OF HEAD CHEF MR. MARIO.

Today i went to enjoy pizza with my wife. I would like to explained you the story of today's incident. Today on 26/04/25 i gave 1 yellow house kids pizza Veg which is 125/- SR @ 19:50 Hours with the staff & he make the KOT & also gave to the head chef Mr. Mario & after waiting for 45 minuets my ordered has not come then he give gestures from inside the restaurant & we are seating at outside & said your pizza is ready but no one informed us. When i went to take my pizza they make wrong pizza with non veg & said this is what i get from the staff & he said we can not eat here as he said he need to give table to another guest but we are also paying for the pizza & usually we eat there weekly once & he know us & then he started misbehaving with me & tell us to don't come next time. So then i have to called at reception of la digue island lodge Hotel as they're taking care of it. I had a worded with reception staff & explained this all situations & he wanted to try his best but then after waiting again 30 minuets he denied to every staff as his not interested to cook for us & said if we have to ear then we have to go from then i have to make a shout on him as from last 1 hour us not giving us ordered & denied to cook for us. His only interested to serve for foreigners & mostly he entered for italian guest as his from italy as we are working here & he don't wanted to see us anymore. After this all he said called security person, after security staff came he understood all the situations & Head ched also explained him about us but still he don't wanted to prepared our food & all lies he explained to security also. His nature towards us is very rudely. Security wanted to help us & he also requested to chef but still head chef is not agreed to cook for us mostly from all staff has requested to cook but after 1:30 Hours 1 lady has again make a KOT for us & she gave to the Head chef & he taken that all receipts & he said i am afraid & tore the KOT in front of us & angry also. For 5 minuets pizza he took to give 1:30 Hours & Finally we got our pizza but not Happy at all , @ 09:30 Pm we got our ordered. This is not acceptable at all. The behaviour is very bad for next person if there are no action. If you really wanted the proof 1st i have requested to put cameras with audio for records if we are right or wrong or someone in future who's right or wrong. 2nd we don't mind if we don't get table to wat as today is very busy day also , we understand ! 3rd after cook non veg pizza even he don't bother to say sorry by mistake made the pizza. 4th in my life i am writing 1st of review for someone. 5th after all we will also come back again to eat & we look forward prompt response from the Head chef. Rest all staff are very supportive & understanding. In behalf of him many staff has give apologies but the head chef with attitude & ego didn't hesitate to come as he goes to...

I read a lot of positive reviews about this place. Visited with mixed feelings.

We got seated quickly indoors while it was crowded, that was friendly from the staff.

Restaurant had a wooden oven which shows authenticity for their food.

While selecting our main courses the waiter (don’t recall his name) became quickly inpatient and rude that the restaurant was busy and can’t make alterations on pizza toppings.

Anyway we selected two pizzas (see photos). The cheese pizza was amazing while the veggie pizza was not good. The mushrooms and artichoke were not fresh at all! Can taste they’re from the can! When we asked for other veggies or fruits, the restaurant said they’re all from the can! I’d suggest to check each topping else you’ll have a similar experience.

Recommend to stick to simple pizzas without many toppings.

By far, this was the best gastronomic experience we had in Seychelles. In fact, we liked it so much that we decided to have dinner here twice!

The place itself is really charming — you can choose to sit either inside or outside, both offering a cozy atmosphere. You can immediately tell there’s an Italian touch behind these pizzas, as they taste truly authentic — from the perfectly baked dough to the rich tomato sauce.

Besides that, you simply can’t leave without trying the tiramisu. The portion is quite generous, but don’t worry — it’s so delicious that I’m sure you’ll finish it!
