Tourist Trap 😭 a disappoinring dinner for one

I would aptly rename the restaurant from "Fish trap" to "Tourist Trap".

Upon deciding to treat myself to dinner, I ordered a seafood platter, expecting a beautiful presentation of fresh, grilled seafood with vibrant Creole seasonings. Instead, I received an almost cold assortment of bland seafood accompanied by stale fries. The wait time for even a simple drink was excessive, forcing me to approach the bar directly to request fresh fries, salt and pepper.

The most disappointing aspect was the complete lack of seasoning on the seafood, resulting in a flavorless meal despite the premium price point. I expressed my concerns to both the waitress and again when settling the bill, but saw no meaningful response or attempt to address the issues.

At €75 for unseasoned food, water, and a single cider, this establishment represents extremely poor value for money. The price point suggests quality that simply isn't delivered.

For travelers visiting La Digue , I strongly recommend consulting locals for authentic dining recommendations.

Your palate and wallet will thank you for avoiding this overpriced establishment serving unseasoned,...

Don't be fooled by the pretty lights... took my family here for drinks before our meal booking across the road! I ordered 2 x double captain morgans rums with cokes..2 x double absolute vodkas with soda waters and a large beer! No problem with the beer but the spirits were so blatantly watered down it was shocking! Wasn't going to complain until I payed the bill and the guy realised he left 1 of the cans of come off the bill and asked me to come up at which point I asked him if I could smell and taste the vodka.. he then proceeds to get an unopened bottle from the back room and point blank would not let me inspect the vodka or the rum! I then raised my voice so others could hear my issue at which point he began to say the coke was now free and tried to change the subject whist trying to usher me to the door! 100 British pounds poorer for terrible drinks! Just to make my point I bought a bottle of rum and went back to show him and others at the bar how watered down his bottle on the shelf was! Indian owned and run! Not seychelles locals! DO NOT GO HERE AND...

Went to this place for a dinner for two. We got the prawn curry and beef burger plus two natural juices. The restaurant thrown in some bread and butter as a starter at no charge. I can say both options were decent regarding flavour and contrary to some reviews the portions size felt OK (we prefer not to feel stuffed after a meal so don't expect that). Friendly staff, fast service (although to be fair the place had 3 only tables being served), bit pricey, good views over the beach / bay update from second visit Went back for two fish options (job fish and red snapper) plus pina coladas and dessert. Food was very tasty and I regret not having explored the fish options earlier. Got a coconut sauce on the side that made a good compliment for the mains. As for the dessert, the hot chocolate foundant was a bit too done (disappointed but it happens) while the banana flambee was perfect, especially the anis and orange...

Started my day with breakfast there, its next to the ferry. Amazing spot, amazing vibes and good food. Also was sipping on a pinacolada at 11:00 am - no judgements 😅. But definitely add it to the list
