When it came time to pay, the waitress didn’t bring me the usual printed bill showing what I had ordered. Instead, she just brought the payment terminal without giving me any breakdown of the charges. Later, I noticed I had been charged for three beers, even though I had only ordered and drunk one…

The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, there were only a few customers, so I really don’t think this was just a mistake. To me, it felt intentional. The way the waitress came straight with the payment machine, without showing a proper bill, seemed very strange and made me feel uncomfortable.

As for the food, the soup I ordered was good, but it was served lukewarm. The chicken was okay but poorly seasoned. The steak was also lukewarm, and on top of that, the meat was not tender at all, it was quite tough, which made it disappointing, even though the seasoning was fine.

Overall, this place left me with a very bad impression, and I honestly cannot...

Good food but a little expensive It's near the castle so I understand that prices are higher than anywhere else. What I didn't like is that when I asked for the check, the glass of wine was the double of what was mentionned in the menu. When I asked the staff about it, they told me that in the menu the price was for 0.1 dl and they always serve a minimum of 0.2 dl. I think they should explain that when the customer makes the order (and they didn't). I also think that there wasn't 0.2 dl in the glass but much less as I could compare afterwards with other restaurants I went to in Slovaquia. Anyway, the wine was good and the food too but they should tell the customer if the price of one product is different between the check...

Restaurant is located on the main street coming down from the castle in fairly old looking house, but everything inside is brand new and very well decorated. Super polite personel greets you straigt away, after you sit down and order meal, you get a small appetizer (we had awesome garlic spread). Meal was honestly an experience, I really did not expect it to be so good. Prices were higher than usual however well worth the quality of meal. Portion sizes were adequate but to be honest, I was still a bit hungry (but I have a pretty big appetite in general). Give this place a visit if you are in the area looking for a great meal and you are not afraid to pay...
