La Primavera Pizzeria — Restaurant in Poprad

This was a wonderful hidden gem we found in Poprad. Everything was great: the food, the place, the service, the atmosphere. La Primavera is a small, true Italian restaurant located near the Poprad river and the city center. If you're ever in Poprad (or the Presov region) then you have to pay them a visit. We went there and were blown away by the exquisite food. We had a minestrone (which was full of flavors and colors), an anchovy and vegetables pizza (which was light and savory), pork with a side of mashed potatoes (which my wife said were really good) and a tiramisu (which was delicate and delicious). They have a lot of pizzas and other dishes in their menu (and all of them look and sound amazing) and we'll definitely come back to try more. Highest rated pizza place in Poprad in a shabby 90s building. Interior is quite nice and invites for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, the tables are not very clean (ours had stains all over the tablecloth partially covering the table). Menu has huge amount of items so prepare yourself a long time to scroll through them all. Pizza and salad were quite tasty. Primitivo was very nice and reasonably priced. Staff was less than attentive, mixed up our order, brought a sparkling water instead of still and after having it (untouched) exchanged for a still water we were quite surprised to find them both on the bill "by a mistake". Not having any ice at 8 in the evening is just a cherry on top ;) If you just want a good pizza and dont care about the rest, I guess you will be satisfied but if you are searching for a guaranteed nice experince, I guess...

Despite the certificates on the wall telling you this is the greatest pizza in Slovakia the reality is, from my point of view, different. Pizza dough has to be thin, that's true, but that was so thin that was almost impossible to take in your hand and eat. Another thing I would improve is the amount and quality of condiment on the pizza itself. I had a vegetarian with very few condiments and in fact the pizza itself was dry. A good thing is they are using at least mozzarella on it. Another important thing I would improve is the toilet, entering the toilet was like entering in another, catastrophic, dimension.
