We visited this restaurant for the high average rating, but it was rather disappointing. Admittedly, the atmosphere is great, the service is standard, just what can be expected, but the food was not worth the high price. We had different dishes, burger, salad, pasta and grilled pork loin. Initially, I wanted to order suckling pig (that's why I wanted to go to this place), however this was not available at the time (high season in summer, early evening...) Except for the pasta, all other dishes were rather poor: the burger patty was lowest quality, while both burger and pork meat was really disappointing. The photos in the many ratings make you believe in opulent portions, but this is definitely not the case. Moreover, if you want fries, potatoes or herb for your meat, you have to order it extra. I did not realize this, the waiter did not tell me, so I ate my pork loin without any...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place- so much that we went back 2 nights in a row. The staff are LOVELY, and make you feel so welcome (even when you’re Australians who can’t say more than hello and thank you in Slovenian). The food- delicious. I had the beef cheeks both nights as I loved it so much. But across the 2 nights, our table tried the cheese platter, the salami, the grilled cheese and vegetables, the lamb shank, the cheeseburger, the chicken schnitzel, the chicken and pistachio, the strudel and mango cheesecake. All were amazing. The drinks we also delicious- we friend the house wine, draft beer, the cider, the Hugo but the real winner is as the Negroni. Can not recommend this place enough, the whole experience was fantastic- I just know we will be talking about this place as a family for...

The restaurant is found at the base of a mountain and we parked beside the gondola.
We ordered the 3-person meat plate. It included a variety of meats like chicken breast, thighs, brochettes, beef patties, sausages, and pork chops. It also included 3 breads and coleslaw type vegetables. I'd order more bread and also try their homemade potatoes.
Generally, I'm not a big dessert person, but their apple strudel was fantastic, warm, and not overly sweet.
The service was efficient and quick. You must wait to be served, but their team is observant and will attend to you asap. Everyone was very friendly, and I believe this is a family run business. The price was a little more expensive than other restaurants who served this type of food but it...
