The best restaurain by a mile in Slovenia, no doubt. The food is out of this world, and the service is unmatched. The last time I was there, when we had just finished our appetizers when the waiter came out with a note from the executive chef, appologizing in advance, saying the main course is going to be a bit late, and he brought us the most expensive nigiri on the menue for free, as a compensation for the delay of our food. Which was interesting, since the main course was served about 15 minutes after the nigiri was served as compensation, and the waiter apologized again in the name of the executive cheff. I was a bit confused, since the restaurant was full and I wasn't sure how that was "late" when in other restaurants you wait a lot longer for food even when there are far fewer guests.
The atmosphere there is also very unique and just overall pleasant, I have been there plenty of times and so far I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever, not a single one. Can't praise this restaurant enough, I really...
Read moreI visited MIYABI Japanese Restaurant & Apartments and found the experience to be quite average. The ambiance is nice and the service was pleasant, but the food didn’t live up to expectations.
I ordered the ramen and sushi. The ramen was unfortunately quite watery, lacking depth in flavor. The egg wasn’t marinated as you’d typically expect in a traditional ramen – it was simply boiled, which was disappointing.
The sushi was just okay. Fresh enough, but nothing memorable in terms of taste or presentation. It felt like something you might get at a standard chain rather than a specialized Japanese restaurant.
Overall, it’s not a bad place, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return. A solid 3 out of 5. With a few improvements in authenticity and flavor, this place could be...
Read moreMiyabi is honestly one of my all time favourite Japanese restaurants. Last time we visited we reserved a grill and my family loved it! The staff was super helpful, we even got our own cook, even though we didn't reserve him, but once he saw how we started grilling our Okonomiyaki, he took pity on us. The ambiance is great and the food is top notch, with an actual Japanese chef always present in the kitchen. The grill itself was a great experience, although as you can see in the pictures the grills aren't wood burning. That being said the experience was still as tasteful as it was aromatic, as the room filled up with the beautiful smell of Japanese cuisine (vegetarian options also available and super tasteful)! I wholeheartedly recommend visiting and...
