Pros:

Cons:

Shower head clogged and broken. Stream of water from rain shower hurts and is not pleasant. Mold in the shower. The sink counter is made of chipped wood panel (not waterproof). It is swollen and broken. Soap and shampoo is available but, no shower cap, no cotton sticks, no room slippers, no bag, no lotion ... 4 stars for what exactly? At breakfast - tables were not cleaned after previus guests, stains of glass and food were clearly seen. Juice is as artificial as juice can get. Hygienic standards are nothing to be complemented, rather criticized. They additionall chareged me something called "Promotional Tax" in the amount of 1.26€ for a one night stay. What is that? From where? Why? Nobody mentioned it and it was not seen from the booking.

Overall: See the pictures and video. I am not a demanding person. But I notice things and I like to feel I am in a clean environment. Just some level of comfort and hygiene if you are claiming to be a 4-star hotel and offer something more.

Meh ... I have no wish to come back. Not...

Our room was delightful. It was clean, bright, and well-designed. It also contained nice toiletries, a coffee machine, and plenty of towels. We had a good range of vegan options at breakfast. The staff were lovely. The location is ideal for exploring the centre of Maribor by foot. If I came back to the city, I'd stay here again. There are only two (small) negatives. (1) We had two single duvets instead of one double duvet, though this is strangely common across Central and Eastern Europe. (2) The shower is designed such that keeping your hair dry is difficult (shower caps would have been appreciated)....

I went to Maribor for business. I was looking for a place at the right price: I had a nice surprise...Hotel really above expectations! The property is located between the main pedestrian street and the river, in a refurbished historical building. The rooms have been studied down to the smallest detail, clean and pleasant. The reception is located in another building on the pedestrian street at 1 min walk. All kind and nice. The receptionist picked me up as long as I couldn't find the way. The next day they didn't charge me for parking 'cause I wasn't told before. Customer always at the center! Really...
