Came here twice on a 4 day holiday, so you can tell this was my favourite spot :)
Friendly staff, they speak English well (but it's nice to learn some Slovenian phrases to order food in their country). The lady even remembered me when I came for the second time 3 days after my first visit.
Easily the best cevapi I've tasted outside of BiH. You can add salt/pepper to suit your taste. I like how it comes with not just kajmak and onions, but also the tomato sauce. The bread is baked perfectly and buttered to perfect taste. The meat is also cooked so that it is juicy and flavourful, not tough to eat at all.
It is stated on the cards and menu that the food/mest is halal, I just have to trust this because the people in Ljubljana are honest people, although of course the restaurant is not 'truly halal' as it sells alcohol. But I think it's fine to eat here if you are a Muslim as there isn't really anywhere else for food like this.
Ambience and setting is beautiful, relaxing music and just very peaceful atmosphere. You can sit on the sides of the resteraunt if you are alone (like me) but there are bigger tables for groups/families.
Highly recommend to anyone and everyone! I'll be...
Read moreMe and my girlfriendadidoo went today because Sarajevo 84 was very busy and we had to que. We checked the menu outside and prices for chevapcici seemed more then reasonable. We had a true balkan meal, but we did listen to Christmas...
Read moreChevapcici was great, with a large portion size for a reasonable price. Service staff treated my buddy and I (asian) far poorer than subsequent customers in a practically empty restaurant at noon, i.e. not handing us menus until I stood up to get some, not showing us our seats, not checking in on us. All acceptable, actually, except that they did so for every...
