We unfortunately visited this restaurant today evening . I had taken my old parents for dinner here as we were visiting the city . One of the staff members (male , Indian ) was openly rude and disrespectful and should not even be in the hospitality industry . My 80 yr old father sneezed rather loudly by accident and immediately got out of the restaurant in embarrassment and came back after 10 minutes . This staff member in the meantime came and openly gave us an earful saying and I am quoting him âwe need to learn to behave ourselves and cannot sneeze like this in a restaurant as it may inconvenience other patrons . And bcos we are Indians he has been good to us but that doesnât mean we âspitâ or sneeze !!! I am appalled at the audacity of this man !! The way my 80 year old dad was shouted at in front of other patrons and the way he spoke was awful - contemptuous arrogant and humiliating .nobody can control sneezing and that too a 80 year old senior citizen . And even if it happened by accident while we understand itâs an inconvenience you cannot talk and humiliate your guests this way over such a small matter and so publicly !!! When I told him this is not the way he can talk he said quite a few awful things in his South Indian language . Terrible behaviour - rude customer service and I doubt they would have the audacity to treat non Indians this way . Ruined a precious evening of our holiday - my father has been very humiliated and shell shocked the entire evening . Terrible service - will def not recommend or...
Read moreHorrible food, horrible service. Wish I could give negative stars. The server (Indian guy with specs) is very rude and over confident. We ordered dosas and idlis. The food was super bland, dosa was soggy, idlis were very hard, too sour and felt stale, chili idli had a lot of food color and sambar was full of turmeric and too watery. If you are an Indian expecting proper South Indian food, you will be super disappointed and also insulted. They donât serve sambar with dosas. So we asked for extra sambar, they denied the service, even though we were ok to pay. Never been to a South Indian place that doesnât serve sambar with dosa and doesnât serve it even after requesting it. Donât understand why they have 5 stars - definitely seems like paid reviews. They donât deserve our time or money. I hope this place shuts soon - these are the type of places that make Indian food look bad and ruin the countryâs name.
PS - the server was so rude and arrogant that when we gave the feedback of how bad the food was, he said âyes I am myself from south India and I know itâs bad and not authentic but this is what sells the best and we are the only ones that serve dosa in the countryâ No apology whatsoever or any...
Read moreOne of my most favourite restaurants in Ljubljana. The service is really nice, friendly and remembers what your choice was if you just come two times. Sometimes even bread for free beside my beloved Paneer Masala. I have to pay a big tribute to waiters like that, who are always professional, take their work seriously and have always a smile on the lips. Good to see something like that in nowadays rushed and inconvenient life. The food is really good and the quality speaks for itselves. Besid the typical dishes like all kind of Masala or sauces with rice, they offer Rotis (ricepancakes with salty fillings), lentil bread with rice and joghurt and indian style chickenwraps. Indian pictures of Bollywood movies and indian musice make the whole picture complete. Not just any place, an authentic indian restaurant in the heart...
