Gostilna Guliver — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Guliver Restaurant. The portions were enormous and beautifully plated. My goulash was well seasoned and the chunks of good quality beef were delicious as were the nioki. My wife's grilled chicken breast with curried salad was excellent, lots of meat, had to ask for a container to take some home. The piece de resistance was a hearty portion of home made Tira mi sou; just gorgeous. And the price was better than reasonable. Last but not least- the srvice was just superb. Eficiency with a smile. And, and, the subtle background music was a sole and tired body soothing. A mix of classical and mellow harmonious melodies. We certainly could not expect such great quality food and service at the reasonable price anywhere else. We shall definitely visit the Guliver next time we are...

We were looking for a lunch place on new years eve, and chose this restaurant because of its good rating.

When we arrived, the restaurant was totally empty and we asked for a table. The waiter was unpleasant and was just saying everything is reserved and there is no space. After a long consideration he gave us a table even though he was not doing it with pleasure. Then he gave us two menus for a 5 people group. He also repeatetly told us that we should have reserved a table beforehand.

After this we felt like this was not really a good place to eat and because of the arrogant and bad service we desided to change the restaurant.

Nad gostilno smo bili izjemno razočarani. Postrežba je bila obupna, natakarica ni niti vedela kaj od hrane nosi na mizo in je vse narobe predstavila. Hrana ni bila najboljše kakovosti, v štruklih prisotni plastični ovitki, morska hrana slabo pripravljena, prilog na količino naročenega pretirano malo oziroma skoraj nič, za gosta, ki je bil vegetarjanec smo posebej naročili in je dobil špagete skoraj dve uri preden so plošče s hrano prišle na mizo, kar pomeni, da je v družbi moral jesti sam ostali pa smo čakali, ob naročilu več plošč je to izgledalo tako, da smo dobili postreženo najprej morsko hrano potem po skoraj eni uri čakanja pa je prišlo še vse ostalo, česa takega še nikoli nismo doživeli kajti plošče naj bi bile prinešene na mizo istočasno. Prav tako je bilo potrebno neprestano hoditi do pulta, da smo naročili pijačo, niti enkrat ni natakarica sama od sebe prišla in preverila če gosti rabijo novo pijačo. Da o ceni niti ne govorim, laži s strani zaposlenih glede cene plošč, ko smo dobili račun je bila cena skoraj trikrat večja, nato pa je sledilo še obupno obnašanje natakarice, ko smo se o tem želeli pogovoriti, preklinjanje, smejanje v obraz in zmerjanje, res obupno obnašanje, česa takega še nismo nikjer doživeli.
