We would definitely stay again at New G&P Villa in Lubljana! Although we never saw the gate closed, parking is in a very nice, private gated lot on the premises. We were able to leave our car there and walk into Old Town Ljubljana. We stayed in an attic apartment which had low, angular ceilings and a creative layout to use the space well enough to contain a full enough kitchen, a bedroom and bath plus a small seating area. Check-in was easy with a code to retrieve our room key. We did have to climb a couple flights of stairs, but they were wide and easy to manage luggage. The air-conditioning worked well, and the room had a giant TV, a full mini-kitchen including a medium-sized fridge, a two-burner cooktop, a microwave, a sink, a coffee maker and a water kettle. There were dishes available, too. The bathroom was roomy and decorated nicely with good countertop space and a rain style shower head, but it did have a partially etched glass door. If you feel you need extreme privacy in the toilet or shower, you might not be comfortable with this arrangement, but it worked great for us. The bed was comfortable. Wifi was great and speedy! The one thing I would improve would be the window coverings. The sheers don’t quite cut it. I would have liked some kind of window blinds to block moonlight, sunlight and the view into the apartment from the neighboring apartments. The night we stayed, there was quite a lot of noise from other lodgers in the apartments. I’m not sure if the noise was their TV or just lots of activity going on. We did hear sirens, too. The attic location probably helped us to lessen the noise, but it was still noisy. It also smelled a bit of smoke. But it was a great place for two of us to stay during our visit to Ljubljana, and we would not hesitate to stay...
Read moreNewly renovated appartment building with several places for rent. We had three apartments for six days. The kitchens are well equipped, although the coffee machines were not working well in all apartements, mainly due to calcium blocking it. Sheets, towels and supplies sufficiently available. Helpful, friendly and responsive host. Just ask ans she will help out. The division of the places is such that there is a two person good bed and a two person sleeping couch, but in the same room. When the couch becomes a bed one can hardly enter the room, which is quite inconvenient. Showers are good, only tje water runs through the whole bathroom.... The tiler clearly did not create a runway to the sink in the floor. Some lamps did not work or we did not find the switch to put them on. Furniture sometimes funny, like the cupboard without shelves in our place. Kitchen table and chairs were nice, but the place too small for four, just behind the kitchen door. Sufficient kitchen utensils. Nice playground for small kids and enough safe parking space. If the neighbours are noisy you have a problem because one hears a lot from eachother. We were lucky to have more quiet ones. Traffic in the street is heavy, but windows are good and protect from most of the noise. Ambulances race by every now and then and seem eager to make a lot of noise about their presence. Also in the middle of the night! Very good location near musea and the city centre, all walking distance through nice streets and small parks. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the week...
Read moreThere are NO blockout curtains to cover the full window width, not ideal if your room is facing the street.
NO doona was given, but I contacted the host and was grateful to have doona the next day.
The main entry door's closer isn't work, and the stairwell doesn't have any acoustic. You will wake up whenever someone opens the door. Acoustic between rooms is poor. We could hear next door's conversation and whoever is in the stairwell.
Kettle internal coating is coming off. You will have hot water with lots of floating things in your cup. It's time for a new kettle.
Hairdryer isn't working. I found out after washing my hair and had to sleep with wet hair.
Location is close to the main bus station, but if you are a first time visitor and haven't done your reach on where you need to go, it's best to stay away and find a place close to the...
