This was our first visit to Bellagio and I can honestly say, we are glad we went. When we arrived, the staff were ready to welcome us and took us to our table. We could choose where to sit as it wasn't that busy on this Friday night. The atmosphere was good, friendly faces and a buzz of people eating. I was so looking forward to my meal and couldn't wait to tuck in. We ordered some sparkling water and a lovely bottle of Haute Cabriere White wine (delicious). The restaurant was inviting and comfortable and one knew that it was going to be good. I had the Three Cheese Soufflé and my partner had the chicken livers to start. Oh my days, the Cheese Soufflé was absolutely delicious. It looked stunning when it arrived and tasted beautiful. This was actually why I wanted to visit this restaurant as not many do a cheese soufflé. Every bite was heaven, absolutely delicious. I tried some of my partners Chicken livers and they were cooked to perfection. Good portion too and very tasty. For mains I had the Bellagio Chicken Pie and my partner had the Kingklip. My partner declared the fish tasty and very delicious, a beautiful main course accompanied by perfectly steamed veg and a well made salad with pear for my chicken pie. This was given a 10/10. My Chicken pie was gorgeous and so much chicken in there too. So tasty and very well made. All the food is freshly made, some one has to wait 20 to 30 min for, but it is all worth it. All in all our evening here was excellent, great service from our waiter, from start to finish, the staff are happy to help, the food is outstanding and I can't wait to go back again soon as the desserts must be tried as there was a good selection, we just didn't try any as we didn't have any space left 😄. I have ticked this restaurant as one I must visit when...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for the first time for our anniversary on New Year's Day. And WOW what a restaurant. The staff are such incredible people to be around. The food healed me from 2024. This restaurant gave me the strength to write my New Year's resolutions. After one mouthful of the beef fillet with artichokes and the steak pizza I found myself saying 2025 IS MY YEAR. My husband had a beer and I had a delicious passion fruit margarita. I see some people on the reviews saying the interior is a little bit plain but I think it's beautiful (I guess it depends on what atmosphere you're looking for). It really reminds you of being in a warm home environment - it's like being at the house of your favourite down-to-earth but wealthy Aunty who has a fridge filled with burrata and pistachio cream. I also found that the atmosphere is very relaxed, no rushing or loud noises, which is perfect for an anniversary or date. Thanks for a perfect...
Read moreOMG...The 3 cheese souffle is sublime! and served with a yummy fresh pear salad. *(Takes thirty minutes for the souffle...well worth waiting for. Suggest ordering your souffle immediately when you arrive.) Their fishcakes are absolutely fantastic, served with a homemade tartar sauce.
Portions are generous enough to share. Husband couldn't quite finish his pasta (that souffle is substantial!), so took it home, where it was equally delicious the next night. 2 of us shared a very tender veal & artichoke dish.
Dessert:. They make their own fresh sorbets in interesting flavors like fresh grapefruit. Perfect palate cleanser after you've over-eaten, as we did!
We shall be back to try other enticing menu items...the chocolate and orange souffles beckon!
Note on price: There are many affordable menu items for someone who wants a simple delicious meal . We ordered cocktails and probably overordered a lot to taste...so of...
