Vida e Caffè Edward street Bellville — Restaurant in Bellville

The absolute worst Vida branch to visit, especially if you're a person of colour. My colleague and I, both Vida regulars and people of colour, were ready to order and waiting patiently in line. Suddenly, this entitled white guy breezes right in, cuts the queue in front of us, and has the audacity to LAUGH about it! He tells the cashier, "I just cut in line!" while digging in his wallet, and guess what? The cashier LAUGHS with him and takes his order without batting an eyelid. The whole thing was so incredibly disrespectful, it left us speechless. We watched the entire thing unfold, and it was clear the cashier saw exactly what happened. Yet, there was no attempt to address it, no "let the people who were here first order," nothing. Honestly, it was pathetic.

I've always been a Vida fan but it seems like this particular branch is bending over backwards to make sure their white customers are happy FIRST, no matter how rude they are. Needless to say, we walked right out. This is not the inclusive and welcoming environment I've come to expect from Vida - we got better service from the Tygervalley...

The worst Vida I've been to. Firstly, the cashier didn't even acknowledge my existence prior to serving me. To be fair, they were busy, however, after she served the person ahead of me she had time enough to look me straight in the face. No greeting , no smile, nothing. So after a few minutes of me standing there awkwardly wondering if I'm in the right place she quietly said I could order. So the poor service I can stomach. But the coffee was clearly using old beans. My cappucino is so weak. Its like it was made from beans that had been washed. My coffees were also cold by the time I got home. And I live 500meters from this Vida. After my meeting at work, I'm taking the coffees back. The barrista was also unfriendly. Overall, I would advise the public to venture 1km further to tygervalley for good quality coffee and at least some modicum of...

I just wish the owners of these shops are held accountable when it comes to operating hours. I arrived here on a Thursday morning 6:40 am and the store had employees however they indicated that they are not open yet whilst on Google maps it shows that they are operating between 6:30 until 17:30. This is an inconvenience and I'm utterly disappointed in the store for not being reliable with the information provided on their Google maps page. I trust management will do better and offer improved service in the future. Operating hours are very important to your customers as this alert them when they can come to receive your services and support...
