Dear management of Copper Club Tyger waterfront, i wish to relay my frustration and shock at your establishment today regarding my Moms birthday lunch we had by you guys today being 10th July.
Making a long story short, we ordered and 4 meals were received, all 4 meals incl chips except for my daughters fried chicken burger were shockingly cold , this is including my moms R240 prawns and calamari ice cold food dish, who would enjoy cold prawns and cold calamari !!!
i was told it was loadshedding hence all the food became cold due to the hot pass where the food is stored was not on. so then why was all the food waiting on the cold pass for i am guessing like 15 minutes waiting for the one chicken burger to be ready before sending it out all at once, that doesn't make sense, rather send it to the table as soon as it touches the Hot/cold pass and send to the customer.
Your management gave us 2 shooters and a dessert for my mom to apologize but does not cover a terrible lunch , embarrassment to me and my friends and my mom and R690 worth of cold prawns and calamari and chips and so on, so not on :( We spent R1671.50 today buying normal priced food and not going for the pizza special and honestly feel sick at what i waste of money that was !!
We stay in durbanville and enjoy going out and i really feel robbed of a enjoyable lunch and good food. so not happy with u guys. We have frequented The Terrace a few times and Patina and...
Read moreWe love going to the Copper Club, the food and the vibe is always pleasant and we have rarely been disappointed when going. Recently though, there was confusion with our booking, and the time confirmed verbally for our reservation was not the time that had been allocated for our table (they booked us an hour earlier). So obviously when we arrived at the time we thought our reservation was set for, we were informed that we were more than an hour late and the kitchen would be closing. Now mistakes happen and people can misunderstand one another on a phone call, I get that. But there is a reason that you take someone's phone number when they make a reservation, or at least I think there's a reason for it. That's to call and find out what's happening if you're overly late, or if something has gone awry. Well, no phone call, some disappointed patrons and a manager that shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry". I guess, one's customer service is measured when things go wrong, as opposed to when things go right, and for such a basic misunderstanding not to be manageable using the tools already available really got me annoyed. After all, we know how the restaurant and tourism industry is struggling at the moment, people are struggling. We want to support local, but not when they are so flippant about your value in their lives. Do better guys, your staff and your patrons...
Read moreI was at this restaurant at tygervalley today , got there it was so quiet there were only 2 tables sitting, the guy who sat me said I can sit anywhere because it was not busy. I sat next to some guys but they were taking so loud and since it was quite I moved to a 6seater table which was just next to me. One waiter approached me and asked me to move I asked him why because it was quite and his colleague had said I can sit at any table , he was rude and left to call the second waiter who also came and asked me to move , I told them should they get a big table in my presence I will gladly move and mind you there was about 8 other big tables which were also empty. The waiter left and went and called the manager, some white guy who came and told me I was closing space for other customers and that the table is booked, there was no reserved sign on the table and I refused to move , right now I was really not feeling well with being treated like this at a place I was just gonna have lunch at and leave. The food was amazing so was the atmosphere, some of the waiters were nice though your manager and 3other waiters were horrible to me. I ate and finished my food and still the place was empty, I don’t know what was the fuss about me moving to another table was about, please train your staff not to treat customers...
