About the single-use plastic: I was delighted to see the paper containers at the salad bar - but WHY plastic containers as well? I used the paper option for salads with plenty of dressing and no leaking, as these photos show. Moving to the fresh veg and fruit section, I was disheartened to see the roll of single-use plastic bags. So I went to the bread section to ask for a brown paper bag to put loose fruits in for weighing. Only to be told I will be charged R5 for the bag at the till if I use it for fruits - but no charge when it's used for bread? What's the difference?!! And then there were the Styrofoam containers which some people queued with, and the offering of a plastic knife and fork in a plastic bag at the till 😡 Consumers are getting fed up with the unnecessary use of plastic by retailers. Consider the environment AND our health and switch to alternatives to plastic, Food Lover's Eatery. @freefromplasticinsa on Facebook and Instagram, and @banplasticinSA on Twitter.

I'm always impressed with FoodLovers Eatery, a place that truly never disappoints! Every visit reaffirms why this is my go-to spot for meals, drinks, fruits, and everything wholesome. The freshness of the produce is undeniable, and their commitment to quality shines through in both the preparation and presentation of the food. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or picking up some nuts and candies, the value for money is exceptional. With a diverse selection that always makes it hard to choose, you can't go wrong here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great flavours and healthy options!

There is always a buzz at this Food Lovers Eatery. It is always busy and the food is really very good and very reasonably priced. It is especially busy between 12h00 -14h00, but as there are enough tills, the waiting period to pay is not very long. There is ample seating available to have your lunch at this Food Lovers Eatery. There is also enough parking bays outside to park near the Eatery.

The place is very well suitably situated in the Cape Town CBD and there is ample parking bays around to add to your experience. There is a variety of fresh produce, baked products and cheeses to choose from. Don't regret not going there as it is the ideal place to shop. For those who does not want to enter the shop, there is a place where you can sit down and enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea. If that does not satisfy your taste budds, then you can enjoy a nice farm fresh breakfast at one of your famous restaurants in vicinity. For those who want to explore, there is more than enough to do.

So why not get out of the bed and enjoy a nice shopping sprea plus a nice breakfast because there are shops all around the place.

For those who loves outdoor shopping there is also enough to keep you busy.

There is literally something for everyone to do. No need to stress if you need something from the pharmacy because it is closeby. No frills and no over crowded shops. So why not get into your car and escape to a relaxing time. If you really looking for a time to relax while shopping this is the place to go to. You will not regret it. So why not give it a try. The V&A waterfront is walking...

An awesome experience to have at a market with such great food! The staff was very friendly and helpful, quick service and knew what you wanted. The food was perfectly laid out, hot, and well priced. They have a few standalone stores inside that are VERY affordable and the fish and chips is TO-DIE-FOR. For R49 you can't beat it! Don't forget, on your way out to grab a fresh juice and a few loafs of banana bread or you'll be kicking yourself down the road. They have everything from homestyle comfort food, to Asian cuisine, to seafood. Nothing here you can't find. Along with their pre-packaged products that are sustainably sourced and always of the highest quality. A perfect place for the local or tourist who's...
