Matthew was a superb waiter, very attentive and accommodating best service we’ve had so far we sat outside in his section and it got a bit chilly outside so we asked to move inside and unfortunately he couldn’t serve us due to it not being his section. Myself and 3 other friends settled the bill with him and walked inside to get a new table, only 2/4 of us had a drink in our hands. We sat and waited for 15 minutes for a waiter and so I asked for a waiter , we sat for another 15 minutes and finally I called the manager and explained that we moved inside but no waiter has been to our table and we would like to order drinks, finally he told the waiter Macy to come help us and not only did she come in with an attitude but she told us she wanted us to move and she refused to serve us, we understood the tables needed to be moved for the dance floor when the time came as agreed upon with the manager but she basically told us to leave her section, and when I asked to speak to the manager again she told us no she will not get us the manager and that we must look for him ourselves. Very very rude waiter and puts a bad name to the restaurant (us being from the service industry we’d never speak to customers the way she did to us, we are paying customers and we were there to drink and have a good time) the manager did apologise and gave us a free shooter but Macy the waiter had ruined our whole mood that we ended up deciding to leave and move to another restaurant as it was no longer pleasant or enjoyable for us on first Thursday (taking into consideration we’re from Pretoria and we were just there to enjoy the night) very disappointed with how...
Read moreGreat vibe, good music, dance floor is very overcrowded though and the wait at the bar can be lengthy. All in all, had a good time though. -(3yr old review)
I had to come back and update my review, the dance floor is mad, highly overcrowded, people shove and walk through the dance floor constantly, knocking your drinks over and not even apologizing (more than once), it's like it's a walk floor, never actually getting an opportunity to dance. The patrons are very rude, I think there is a big underage crowd here, surprising, as they "check IDs" at the door. The tables in the middle, making getting to the dance floor difficult. Honestly the experience was awful and my friends and I stayed less than an hour and wish I could say this is the first time. Sad thing is, I don't even know how to suggest improvement, other than upping the age limit and actually keeping to that limit or redesigning the whole dance floor.
The only reason I am rating a 2 stars, is because their new security measures are impressive, have to wait in line to leave whilst they search you and check bags and make you unlock your phone to make sure it's yours. Bouncers wait with you and search for your ubers. And the 3 bathroom options, male, female and unisex.
But all in all, if you are looking for a good time and a place to dance, this is no longer it. You'll have more luck on Bree Street and Kloof Street.
You can have a okay time here if you sit at a table outside the entire time, away from the...
